“Great service = great stay”
Reviewed 28 April 2014

I stayed at The Curtis last week (4/22-4/25) for a librarian conference. When making our reservation, my fellow librarian and I decided to make a "special request", stating that we would like pictures of cats in our room to alleviate our pet separation anxiety (har har). When we arrived, the cats (cardboard pictures with stands) were waiting on our bed with a nice, hand-written note expressing best wishes for our stay. This was just one instance where The Curtis staff went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. From friendly greetings on the elevator to recommendations for restaurants and a place to get a piercing (don't ask), the staff at The Curtis absolutely made our stay the best I've had in Denver (and that's saying a lot!).

The hotel itself is fun and trendy, with themes for each floor that can best be described as pop culture (we stayed on the Chick Flick floor). The room was clean and well furnished, the bathroom was sleek and modern, and the beds were very comfortable. We were served several breakfasts and lunches for the conference, and the food was always good. We also had drinks in The Corner Office, which has a great Happy Hour in the early and late evenings. The one area which could use improvement is the Wi-Fi. Although the hotel states that it's free (high-speed has a price), it was not easy to connect my devices. I eventually went to the front desk and was quickly given an easy remedy.

Overall, I was impressed with The Curtis and would readily stay there again. It's within easy distance of the 16th Street Mall as well as several restaurants and bars. When we checked out, the front desk person asked if we liked our cats. If The Curtis' staff can treat "the crazy cat ladies" with such courtesy and respect, then you normal people should be able to expect the same.

I really enjoyed this place. I was there for a conference and I really appreciated the fun and playfulness of the surroundings. Such a nice change for a business event. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy. Service was friendly and helpful. Location was great for lots of options for eating and drinking and other ways to enjoy free time.

We had a fabulous stay at the Curtis Hotel this weekend. The bed was extremely comfortable and the black out curtains ensured we slept in. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. Rhys and Julie even helped us get a last minute roll away to our room late at night. The new renovations of this hotel are incredible. The rooms are bright and clean and modern and the lobby is airy and fresh. We will definitely be back, to this fun and hip hotel!

Tasteful decor, clean and well-maintained. Very good for conference attendees. Less suitable for families as there is no bathtub and no pool/spa, no free breakfast, limited counter space in the bathroom. A warm cookie at check-in was pleasant.

Hello IowaAvidReader!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience at the Curtis on Trip Advisor. We do offer tubs at the hotel, but not every room has one, so we would be happy to request that for you the next time you make it to Denver. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts; we look forward to another opportunity to host you!

I stayed 6 nights at this hotel in October 2013. The hotel is located near the Colorado Convention Center and near all the shops and restaurants of 16th Street Mall. Each floor has a theme. I stayed on the 5th floor, which was "the one hit wonders" floor. I was slightly apprehensive about this, because I thought the hotel would not be a "serious" hotel and that I'd find it all a little too much. I did not. The finishing touches of the decoration follow the theme, but that's it. The staff are very friendly, and they welcome you with a warm cookie. I chose one of the cheapest rooms available, but it was excellent nonetheless. The room was nicely decorated, modern, and clean. The bed was the best part of the room: it was extremely comfortable and I had excellent nights of sleep. I wish I had a bed like that at home! The bathroom was small, but clean and modern. There was only a shower, no bathtub. The WiFi was free.

I stayed 2 nights for work and really enjoyed my stay. The decor is unique, playful and welcoming. All the staff I encountered from the valet to the doormen to the front desk couldn't be nicer or friendlier. It was very clean and my bed was comfortable, and wifi is free. The hotel restaurant was also good. I would definitely stay here again.

The Curtis has it all! The Corner, a happening restaurant is just downstairs and has great eats for breakfast lunch and dinner. It was also hopping for cocktail hour and into the night. The Curtis has the perfect location for attending a show as it is adjacent to the theater district. Many of the staff congregated in the lobby greeting guests and making sure that everyone had what they needed. A standout employee is Annemarie Lombard who hailing from Austria adds a touch of European charm and grace to the place. Lombard made sure guests were happy and satisfied with their rooms and service. We even got delicious fresh cookies!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have great views!
