After traveling from the east coast and tired we had a room mix up and rather than deal with it that night waited to morning. They switched us the next day. Not sure the room was much bigger but definitely more satisfying to be changed. The room itself seemed to have been neglected, needed to ask for new iron, never had a do not disturb sign for room and coffee area was not kept up. Other than that we would have rated the whole experience excellent. The Brown is magnificent and well worth the stay. We had dinner in the Tavern and enjoyed our meals, had cocktails in lobby with piano player and the best was the afternoon tea. Great experience. One block to 16th street mall where you can get the free bus all the way to Union station. Complimentary car service for evening use up to a five mile radius.

Room Tip: Top of the Brown, quieter rooms

Location of this downtown Denver hotel cannot be beat! Not for those seeking to do a vacation on a tight budget. That said, this hotel is one of historic note and even if you cannot afford to stay here you should drop in to the hotel just to see the beautiful atrium.
Sunday champaign brunch in Ellyngtons is an absolute delight. Live music and marvelous food.
Pricey at 125.00 ( tip and taxes) but worth it the chocolate fondue fountain of milk chocolate and white chocolate is superb.
They also have a ghost tour and afternoon tea each day with a jazz trio. Valet parking.
Rooms do not have a minifridge or bar unless you get a suite.
I don't believe there was a pool...we were too busy to even think of it and so charmed by the hotel and Denver itself.
Hotel is only two blocks away from the well known 116th Street pedestrian walk and a free shuttle runs up and down 116th eveery 10 min or so.

Room Tip: If you are not happy with the room you are assigned then ask for another. They are all about service...

This is a beautiful hotel. Standing in the lobby you can feel the history in the air. The place is well maintained and the rooms are quaint. Staff is friendly. You have to valet your vehicle as there is no parking available. We were very pleased with our stay and would definately stay here the next time we visit Denver.

My son and I spent three nights at the Brown Palace in Denver this Spring and could not have had a better stay. The hote, the staff and our rooms were spot on. We enjoyed outstanding fresh cooked breakfasts to start each day and finished with cigars and a nightcap in Churchill's. The Concierge provided great recommendations and secured transportation to and from DIA. Won't stay anywhere else in Denver in the future!

Room Tip: We enjoyed our rooms on high floor inside the atrium. Noise level was surprising low and the views...

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa is a treasure. The lobby is breathtaking & the staff is courteous & helpful. Dined in two of the restaurants while there & the food is delicious. Room service was wonderful too. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to most places we needed to. Will definitely return on our next visit to Denver.

Stayed at the Brown Palace for a long weekend. Booked the Palace Room 500 SF, Larger Guest room and it was a beauty. There are only 3 of this type room in the hotel.

A very interesting tour of the hotel is provided on Saturday afternoon and I highly recommend.

Strolling down the grand staircase brings you to another era. The building was constantly being buffed and polished.

Room service was great. Sunday buffet breakfast was very skimpy but the dining room is gorgeous.

Checked in 24th July out 26th
Service generally good.(soured by a few let downs)
Pity refurbishing immediately outside our room from 10 am till 6pm AND we were not advised at check in? We were jet lagged and were hoping for a 4pm nap. WHY did they not communicate this upfront
At drink's on evening of 25th Needed to find Mariana when we needed service? When bill came it was incorrect== overcharged! Found Mariana (again chatting to colleagues away from customers.) She brought a manager out "he said had to charge extra because it was Glen Morangie on rocks !(sic)
I asked why there was not an extra charge for ice in other drinks?

Room Tip: Ask if room is quiet

We are truly disheartened to read that your stay with us was tarnished by our exterior restoration efforts. We strive to ensure any impact to our guests is minimal to non-existent, and regret that this was not the case during your stay.

We are also sorry to learn of the service shortcomings you encountered in our Atrium Lobby. We will be immediately addressing both matters with our operations team and want to assure you that these unfortunate instances are far from the type of experience we wish to deliver for our guests.

We would love to have an opportunity to speak with you directly regarding your stay. Please feel free to contact Ryan Pratt, Rooms Division Manager, at rpratt@brownpalace.com at your convenience.
