“Amazing to the Nth Degree!”
Reviewed 7 December 2013

All I can say is, why stay anywhere else in Denver? This establishment represents the very best of historic western Americana -- beautiful wood-steeped ambiance, wonderfully appointed rooms, fantastic breakfasts, and a sitting area that excels all expectations for comfort. Add in the Holiday decorations and it would be hard to imagine a better experience. Also worth noting, it has a convenient downtown location and access to a large, modern fitness center in the Comfort Inn, across the street, and easily accessible via an enclosed skywalk.

Room Tip: I had a corner room with a downtown view -- great window coverage and a large room.

Our daughter booked a room for us at the Brown Palace on a recent visit. We knew nothing about it, and had no expectations. It was terrific. Every staff member we had contact with was extremely helpful. The view down to the lobby and up to the domed ceiling from outside our room was great. The old historical features of the hotel combined with modern amenities in the room made for a wonderful stay. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was totally current with great features. My wife appreciated the Keurig coffee maker in the room. The location of the hotel was also very convenient. Definitely not the same old same old hotel experience!

This historic property defines elegance - no detail is ever overlooked. The staff is over the top, anticipating needs you never even knew to think of..............having your favorite martini at your table as you arrive, the courtesy car, lovely holiday decorations, dining perfection. The memory of the scallop risotto will haunt my dreams with deliciousness! Any visit to Denver is incomplete without a stop at this property, if for nothing else, a great cup of coffee and the sight of the grand atrium.

We live in Denver and have always enjoyed the Brown Palace Tea during the holidays. My boyfriend proposed to me during our stay this week. The room we were staying in was beautiful with crown modeling. However the bedding was not clean. We immediately went down to the front desk, where Jeff, listened to our concerns. We were only expecting to get the bedding changed but Jeff offered to move us to a suite for the evening. The suite was gorgeous with a spectacular view of the city. The TWO bathrooms were luxurious with modern fixtures and granite counter tops. The rooms were elegantly decorated along with an elliptical and a wet bar! After moving rooms, we went out on the 16th street mall for dessert. When we came back to the beautiful room, Jeff had typed out a special note congratulating us on our engagement along with a plate of sweets and a bottle of champagne. This was such a generous gift and made our night so special. Jeff truly went out of his way to make sure our stay was spectacular. His kindness and attention to detail is impeccable. Somehow all of the employees that we encountered knew of our engagement and went out of their way to congratulate us and make us feel so special. We truly appreciate the spectacular service from employees greeting us with a smile each time we were in the lobby or the quick valet service! A special thank you to Jeff for making our stay extra special he truly went out of his way!

Green Features: I really appreciate having the note on the bathroom to remind guests that if they do not need their towels washed for the following day to hang them up. Its great that this hotel is environmentally friendly and conscious of reusing towels if they are not that dirty.

Excellent location, walking distance to the art museum, 16th street mall and countless restaurants and attractions and shopping. Our hotel room was rather small but there was a Keurig coffee maker with plenty of options and the bathroom was lovely. Staff was helpful, in particular the concierge staff. We did not have brunch but living locally, I hope to make it during the holidays as the decorations are beyond words. Pictures do the hotel no justice during Christmas.

Room Tip: Get an upgraded room if you want a larger room.

Stayed here a few years ago..What a great hotel! It's very conveniently located, walking distance to everything you need downtown Denver. Was in town for a few days on business before moving to the city and the hotel provided an amazing first introduction to the city where i spent a couple of years after this stay. The rooms are average size, but the service is fantastic! And the afternoon tea there is legendary!

I used this hotel for a recent business meeting. The hotel is beautiful and was decorated for the holidays, so the lobby really stood out. The meet rooms were large and really very nice. The hotel rooms had a plethora of electrical and USB outlets, essential for all my equipment. K-cups in each room. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms very nice. The walls are a bit thin, but that is to be expected in a older building. The staff went above and beyond supporting my meeting and my guests. Every person from the hotel I interacted with had a small on their face and was a pleasure to work with. Every one of my guest was pleased.

Room Tip: Make sure to inquire on where the have construction, and avoid that floor.
