Overall, it's a great place to stay. Interesting lobby, decor. You have to appreciate old buildings to really appreciate the Oxford. The room was lovely - bathroom was a little small, but very nice. Our room was a little awkward in the sense that the bathroom was a step away from the bed...and the air conditioning vent was positioned so that the air never really "got to the bed." In fairness, it was very hot when we were there, but I hate waking up because the room isn't cool enough. Staff was always very courteous. It's a short walk to the "mall." (It's very commercial. And no place that you'd really want to be after dark.) But we did find a couple of good restaurants near Coors Field - which was a very short walk. For a first-timer in Denver it was just fine. Nice touch - they had coffee service on each floor. In my opinion much better to have to walk down the hall for real coffee with real cream than to make some swill in the room!
