“great location, nice place”
Reviewed 7 December 2010

Traveled to Denver to attend a conference, I booked this room several months early and received the rate with breakfast for two at $150, very good deal for this hotel. The location was perfect, the convention center was about six blocks from the hotel and their were plenty of restaurants and shops close by, especially the 16th St. Mall that was right outside the front doors of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was somewhat expensive, I only ate breakfast there, omelet and coffee $20 plus tip, glad I had the breakfast package. The beds were very comfortable, made for a good night sleeping. Make sure you check out the work out area and pool, great views from the pool area and there is also a basket ball court in the fitness area. Got a chance to shoot some hoops while I was working out.

In all our visits to Denver to see the Parade of Lights, this year really worked out well for us. We got good rates plus parking which is really unusual. When we checked in Sidney Lehr helped us. We had a few problems with the lock to our room. She went out of her way to make everything right. On Saturday night, before the parade, we were talking to an employee named Travis Faust. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great weekend. We stay at the Westin Denver Downtown because it is so convenient. I had to arrange to have oxygen delivered to the Westin and it was there waiting for me.

My husband and I wanted to see the King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. The Westin offered a King Tut Package deal that included VIP tickets (no set time ticket), discount parking, and breakfast. The hotel was very nice and had a Starbucks coffee shop on the bottom floor. The rooms were nice and quite and have very comfortable beds. I'm not sure the age of the hotel, but there were some scratches on the furniture. There was a long wait for the elevator in the morning. You may have to leave your party to get down. There was confusion with breakfast. At check-in we were told to tell the breakfast server to bill our breakfast to the room because we have the King Tut package. The breakfast server said we needed to show tickets for breakfast. We had to make a call the front desk after breakfast. The front desk told us to go tell the breakfast server we had King Tut package. We did the express check out and then went down to the breakfast server. The breakfast hostess told us to go back to front desk. We told the breakfst hostess that we had already checked out. Then the breakfast hostess said she would take care of it. As far as I know we didn't get charged extra for breakfast.

Stayed at the Westin Tabor in downtown Denver for a conference at the Colorado Convention Center. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious, and the hotel was immaculate and clean. It also had one of the more comfortable beds that I've stayed in. The hotel is steps away from the 16th street pedestrian mall and its FREE ride shuttle, which is great to hop on and off along the way. Nearby are shopping areas and family friendly restaurants. There was a public parking garage across the street as well as valet parking at the hotel (costs extra).

There is a Starbucks in the lower lobby, great to grab something on the go. The lobby has free wireless internet and comfortable seating areas. The fourth floor holds a fitness center and a heated outdoor tub.

The only caveat would be that the hotel is located near a clock tower that chimes every hour from about 8am to 9 or 10pm.

Not too big on hotel chain but wound up here by default. Room was clean and well-appointed. Excellent electronics from WiFi to TV. Very comfortable bed. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice hotel, good service. There was nothing that stood out about this hotel good or bad. We were checked in promptly, our room was serviced every day. We had a beautiful view of the city and the pool was nice. I would return, but it wasn't anything spectacular.

Great location. If you like to workout, westin does it right. They have a basketball court inside the workout room. They do a good job of keeping it clean and modern. Near the ESPN zone in downtown. I was very comfortable in the room anf had a great SPG rate. I would highly recommend to the buisness traveler.
