Love the place. Great food and service to match. Plus the Saturday night entertainment was a great blend of solid world-class musicianship and improptu sit-it's that provided a one-of-a kind musical event. We'll definitely revisit!

The location is central, in that it is between a the City of Loveland and the Mountain Town of Estes Park, thus making it a nice place to stop for lunch or camping next to the Big Thompson River. The restaurant is a pleasant experience, in that it has an aura of a Historic place, with friendly folks, and simple menu to choose from. The service is good with the experience of the staff their. The Historic refurbish of the business and upgrades has made it a nice place to visit and relax. Camping next to the river is relaxing and quiet and having Elec. and water available in each space makes for a nice choice in a small campground behind the Inn. The closeness to home without going to far is great!

Our party of 8 stopped by your place for a peaceful rest stop and lunch on our 3900 mile mid west trip. We were greeted by a youg girl more tuned on fixing a microphone than providing service to customers. After trying to get seated and order for lunch, the girl came back and advised us they could only fix lunch for 2 at a time and the others might have to wait up to an hour between servings. She never offered to take orders for anything to drink but continued to try to fix a microphone. There was no sign posted for not serving lunch and their web site indicated they did. the girl was extremly rude to the point of hardly paying any attention to our groub. Our group would have spent well over $100 on lunch but they did not seem to care. Out of our 17 day trip this place ranked dead last on service and caring for customers. We were extremely disappointed over this situation and had to move on to find another place for lunch. We strongly advise staying clear of a place like this.

Drake is an old stage stop on the way to Estes Park, 11 miles east of Estes Park. The only thing in Drake is the Historic River Forks Inn and the Post Office. The hotel is a really outstanding and historic building with lots of character. Right by the river, this old Inn has seen so many changes in its day, and is a great place to spend a few days. IT is close enough to Estes Park to go in and explore every day.
