“Fabulous Sunday Brunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2014 via mobile

We had a terrific, tasty brunch. The eggs Benedict choices were yummy, do try the Italian version with pancetta, so good. The service was excellent and the value will bring a smile when you pay the bill. Bloody Mary's for $5 looked really good, but so was the Ramos Gin Fizz which are hard to find these days. If we had more time in Durango, we would have returned for dinner... next trip.

“What is there not to love about this place?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 March 2014

What is there not to love about this place?

Do you like beer? Well El Moro has the best beer selection in Durango.

Do you not like beer? Well, we should talk about that..... but perhaps later. Are you into Scotch or Bourbon then? Their selection is fantastic.

Beer and Whiskeys not your thing? How about martinis or mixed drinks?

A fantastic drink list awaits you, with rarities like homemade bitters and homemade grenadine.

That is just the adult themed beverages. The theme and the decor in El Moro could not be cooler, Everything seems completely thought out. From the light bulbs, to their coverings, to the plumbing in the bathroom, this place is just cool.

Now the food, oh the food. To be fair, I haven't eaten everything on the menu, but everything that I have eaten I have LOVED. Some of my favorites are the Scottish Egg (Which comes out perfect, it may look a little done, but it is cooked perfect), the Chorizo Sausage (All of the cheese and meats in the charcuterie are fantastic, but the Chorizo sausage is my favorite), even the French Fries are fantastic.

All of that said, I think the 2nd best part of El Moro is the breakfast. As much as I love Durango, there are few good breakfast places, and those that exist have big lines on the weekends. El Moro's breakfast/ brunch menu will rival or beat anything else in town, and there is NO WAIT. At least until you all find out about it.

You may be asking, 2nd best? Well then what is the best? Well that my friend is the people. i have met some fantastic people there and had some amazing service. It helped that many were named Dave or David, easier to remember.

Do yourself a favor, check this place out.

“One of Our Very Favorites”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 February 2014

We moved here in August and have eaten at tons of places, but this is one of our top choices. The menu is different, and what we've had is yummy - even the gourmet grilled cheese is special. Great service, especially if you sit at the bar. Beautiful bar and chatting with the guys who run the place is well worth the experience. Super food and full bar - fantastic choice of beers and the bartender (Dave) can recommend some unusual but delicious beers if you're up for that. One of our go-to places that never disappoints.
