“on the go meal”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

I was moving this weekend and a stop at Harvest Grill & Greens at James Ranch was perfect... we got a steak sandwich with chips to go and then headed to the job at Tamarron Lodge. It was great, the steak just melted in your mouth, the seasoning was just the right amount, the chips looked to be home made - like wow. I am going back again and again, my kind of place. And we also bought some "cumin" homemade cheese.... after the mini-samples, that was my choice.

“Awesome Lunch experience!!”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

If you like FRESH...then this is the restaurant for you! (just don't go on a rainy day since the eating is outside). The hamburgers are made with grass fed cattle. The bread is homemade. I had a gluten free bun that was WONDERFUL!! We didn't try the homemade ice cream....but plan on going back on another day for that. This was our favorite spot to eat in Durango!

“Good food but way overpriced”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

We ate here with our family. Pulled off the road into a really nice setting. Outdoor tables with a nice view , chickens and goats and ponds... But lots of road noise. The food was good and fresh but not creative. It was also expensive...$10 burgers without any sides. Ended up spending $50 on lunch and we were still hungry!
It is a little bit of a unique experience but not worth the price.

We appreciate your feedback. The price of our food is the price of providing a meal that is organic, nutrient dense (because it is all produced on our ranch or locally sourced) and full of flavor. We focus on quality over quantity. Everything -our peppercorns, butter, condiments and other contributing ingredients- are organic as well. So our customers can trust they are not being fed ingredients inhumanly treated, riddled with chemicals, GMO based, processed or corn-fed. It's the only way we feel good about providing food to our community.

“Great Burger and Steak Sandwich”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

Owned by the James family on the James ranch on Hwy. 55 about 10 miles north of Durango, the Harvest Grill serves grass fed beef and home grown greens when in season in a picnic setting. I had the steak sandwich which had a unique flavor. When I inquired, I was told it was due to their marinade. My companions had burgers which were all pronounced to be great. There is also a small store selling farm products.
