We celebrated our 20th anniversary at the Florence Rose. Innkeepers Barb and Bob gave us the grand tour when we arrived. Their suggestions for dining and entertainment were spot on. The room was comfy, the food delicious, and their company was superb. Go ahead treat yourself to this little get-away!

Room Tip: Ask for a room toward the back to reduce street noise.

We loved our stay at the Florence Rose. Barb and Bob were fabulous hosts and shared lots of interesting information about the house and area. We had the Garden Room (the old summer kitchen) which is located in the back of the property right off the patio and hot tub gazebo. From the house to the grounds, it is all well maintained and beautiful. Breakfast in the morning...well I'd drive back to Florence just for that. This B&B is in an excellent location. Florence is a small town with loads of antique shops. It is a short drive to "Bishop's Castle"...look it up on Trip Advisor, worth a visit to go out there. Also a short drive to Canon City (ride the train). Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: While there is no swimming pool, I marked excellent for the lovely hot tub gazebo area. I got to see...

We had the whole house for 3 days to celebrate our 50th. with our boys and their families. There were 12 of us, and that is the number of people the house can sleep. The rooms and the house were clean and the beds comfortable and if you like antiques the house is full of them. The Terry cloth robes in each room is a nice touch. The history of the house is interesting and full of charm. Florence is near Canon City with a lot of outdoor activities as well as the Royal Gorge Railroad trip up the Royal Gorge. The host and hostess (Bob & Barb) are very accomodating and friendly. The breakfasts were awesome as the grandkids said. Barb is not a cook, she ia a chef d'oeuvre in the morning. The kids and their parents as well enjoyed the hot tub, lots of towles, and the patio where half of us ate each morning. We would return in a New jersey minute. Paul & Claudia

Room Tip: There is no fitness center

Although we live less than an hour away from Florence, we decided to celebrate our anniversary at the Florence Rose B & B. What a great decision that was! The rooms are lovely in the historical home and the innkeepers' attention to detail was evident everywhere you looked. Breakfast was almost too good (is that possible?) and we left with a little bag of muffins in the event that we got hungry on the drive home. Bob and Barb are the innkeepers you always hope for when you book a B & B.

We stayed at the Florence Rose B & B the last weekend of 2012. The experience was fabulous, especially considering this was my first B & B visit. The hosts Bob & Barb were exceptional, they made you feel as if you were home. The room was beautifully decorated, with chocolate & wine glasses on the dresser. The breakfast was truly great, fueled us for our day of antique shopping. The grounds & house are very beautiful & the gazebo hot tub was great(very private). Private enough on the second night to go naked & I proposed to my girlfriend, naked the best way.
I would recommend this B & B to anyone & I have already recommended it to a friend.

Room Tip: Rooms on the East side of the house have a lot of light, so if you don't want to be up early, st...

I loved this B&B in Florence, CO as its authenticity is exquisite. Beautiful quilts in each room, very friendly and welcoming hosts, their attention to detail is unmatched, incredible history to the house, a great breakfast, and lovely grounds to walk around. Spacious outdoor patio and gazebo with hot tub in which to relax after a hard day's sightseeing. My room, the Elizabeth Anne, was comfortable and I had my own shower and loo. It's like a little piece of Paradise with all the quiet. Hosts Bob and Barb were very friendly and attentive to my needs and we had lovely conversations. I highly recommend staying at this B&B out in the country.

Room Tip: I had the Elizabeth Anne room but any of the others are just a cozy and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in August while visiting the Royal Gorge area. Our hosts, Bob & Barb, were very attentive to any needs we had, gave us some great suggestions for local shopping and dining, and run a beautiful B&B. Our first day there we had a rafting excurision which required us to be on the road at 7:30 that morning. Eventhough they normally server breakfast later in the morning, they graciously got up earlier than normal and made us a wonderful breakfast to set us off on our adventure.

After a busy day of rafting and going out on ATVs, we relaxed for a nice long soak in the hot tub that is located in the back garden area. With water fountains, beautiful flowers, a few cold beverages, and some relaxing music playing in the background, we were rested and ready to go out to one of the great local restaurants that they recommended for us.

The Inn is very well decorated, with lots of intersting furniture, pictures, and knick-knacks to explore. Try to find all of Barb's figurines located all throughout the property!

This B&B is the one of the nicest and relaxing B&Bs we have stayed in during our travels across the country, and Bob and Barb are two of the nicest hosts we have met.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Yvonne room which was very spacious and had plenty of room, including it's own...
