“Wonderful play land for young and old(er)!”

Spring Canyon Community Park
Ranked #8 of 112 things to do in Fort Collins
Attraction details
Reviewed 5 March 2014

nestled just at the edge of the foothills, on the bike path and at the end of the road, park offers something for everyone, from the very young to the older, but young at heart.

shaded playground which incorporates native american legends in its play area, ball field, picnic areas, shelters, and lots of view of the foothills. interactive water feature (timed 'fountains'), also handicap accessible.

very popular for a reason--- and has a dog park enclosure as well! horse trail and trailer parking available. horse trail connects to trail into the foothills.

This park will go down in Ft. Collins history. We had the replica of the Viet Nam Wall here. Helicopters flew down, we had a fly by from the jets at Warren AFB, and so many honored Vets speak. It was a moving thing. My father came home alive. I thank all those living and those who died for their service.

Everything you could want from a large city park. Bring a picnic lunch and a Frisbee. The dog park is really nice, too.

This park is well maintained and centrally located. My son loves the splash park and all the random fun features of the park you wouldn't expect to see. If you're bored one afternoon I would highly recommend bringing the kids to release some energy. Just make sure they're wearing shoes, the playground equipment gets incredibly hot.

One of Fort Collins' regional parks, this spacious 100 acre park has something for almost everyone, and it borders the equally spacious Pineridge Natural Area in the adjacent foothills. Biking/hiking/horse trails run through both of these popular recreation areas. Spring Canyon Park, completed in 2007, contains the award-winning Inspiration Playground, Colorado's first universally accessible playground. This park also includes a 2+ acre dog park, picnic shelters, ballfields, lighted basketball and tennis courts, spacious undesignated turf areas, and a fine veterans' memorial. Another crown jewel among Fort Collins' many parks and recreation facilities.
