We stayed at this hotel for near 3 weeks in Ft. Collins. We received a price break on this hotel from the Poudre Valley Hospital which took about 1/2 the cost off. After the 1/2 off, the price was worth the stay.

The check-in process went very well, the front desk agents were very helpful, but be careful, if you checkout before your checkout date, they will try to charge you a fee. The Lobby is simply amazing, it is an open concept hotel, you can see up to the top floor from the lobby. Water features and the breakfast area in the main lobby area with glass elevators.

We chose the Executive Suite on the top floor which gave us access to the Concierge room (included breakfast, snacks, and a light Dinner). The room was clean and very nicely laid out. LCD TV which was a great size and good quality. They charge for High Speed Internet as does the entire Hilton chain, someday they will figure out that most hotel chains don't. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet.

The bathroom was very spacious with curved shower rods and bathroom amenities. No fridge or microwave in the room, but coffee pot was available. With the Concierge lounge available, the fridge and microwave were not necessary.

I gave housekeeping a low score for several reasons. The housekeeping staff never kept a regular schedule, due to the fact that we were there for 3 weeks, it would have been helpful to have a regular schedule. They would try to come at 8:00AM and then not come back at all if you had a DND sign on the door. If you called the front desk for them to show up, they may show up, and if they did, it could be as late a 2-4PM. Even after they came, we found that our socks were near black on the bottom after walking around on the bathroom floor and carpeted area. They were also very loud in the hallways. Anytime you needed something extra from the room, they were not quick to bring it.

The Concierge Lounge was a decent area to be most of the time. The Breakfast was mostly the same each morning and decently stocked. The dinner however was lacking most nights. The Concierge lounge is supposed to have hors d oeuvres and appetizers for dinner, but the lounge was always the last to receive the food. Sometimes there was nothing more available than some bread. Quite often there were no spoons, forks, knives or napkins and when asked to bring more, it would take near an hour to get. The idea is great, and it is a very nice room, but the service to the room needs some attention.

Pool and Hot tub, work out area and business center are all available. Vending machines are available as well with a Sundies area down by the front desk.

Overall, a nice place to stay, and if you are staying short term, it should be enjoyable.

Now that we have been to Ft Collins/Loveland/Estes Park-- we won't be back to the Hilton Ft Collins. It's not the worse, but it's definitely NOT a good value.

We drove 12 hours to Ft Collins in order for my kid to wrestle the Big Horn Nationals. We accepted this hotel because (1) the wrestling meet 'weigh ins' were in the hotel and (2) supposedly the tournament had a pre-arranged discounted special rate. Well, it turns out we got the same rate as any online service would get us....!! No discount THERE.

Every previous comment about the wireless service is true-- what a rip off!!! Ten bucks per day, PER computer!! We stayed three nights!! And since all our family back home wanted updates about the wrestling meet, I was pretty much forced to shell out an extra $30 for something I have come to *expect* would be FREE.

It is true that there's other neighboring/outside wireless services you can steal, but it was very spotty and slow. My kid got disgusted and gave up on his computer.

In this hotel's defense, the front desk said we could get free Internet service down in their 'business center.' But this is neither convenient nor comfortable.

Also, you have to be smart about meals. The restaurant in the hotel is astonishingly expensive and didn't look too appetizing-- breakfast buffet at around $15 a head, a la carte offerings meant ~$20 for two small breakfasts. There's a few restaurants three or four blocks away. But to get really good breakfasts or dinners, you'll need to drive past Colorado State in to their bar/restaurant strip-- fantastic choices down there!!

So after we had drove around town and up through the mountains seeing nice, beautiful hotels and resorts with cheaper nightly rates and FREE wireless, we decided that next time we're going to stay somewhere else.

it is the little luxuries that make all the difference when you are away from home, and the Hilton at Fort Collins offered plenty. The bolsters on the bed made reading in bed very easy. The luxury of offering smoking rooms is something hard to find, and greatly appreciated...who wants to truck outside for their morning coffe and smoke? The staff was delightful, room service food delicious and not too over-priced. A- because they made ya pay 10 bucks a day for internet. Weird.

Again, no offense to Hampton Inn (I stay there regularly, too). But, yeah, I have to say that this Hilton doesn't have the luxury feel you expect. Rooms are OK, service is good, but nothing to get excited about. TV reception was pretty bad (especially lower channel numbers, for some reason) and we had to call the front desk to get ESPN back on our lineup. Credit where credit is due: sleep quality was good and the location is perfect for those visiting CSU. I got a fairly good rate thru AMEX, but I'm not sure I'll come back here. I might check out the Homewood Suites next time.

This hotel was located next to the Colorado State campus and away from the interstate which was exactly what we wanted. It was just perfect for our one night get away. Rooms were clean and the bathrooms were updated and nice.
