I wish I'd have thought to leave a review sooner - our trip to the Outpost Inn is one of the most memorable my family has ever had. During 2003, my fiancee and I were planning our wedding and we were losing patience with all of the "help" our family was offering. A short search on-line revealed the Outpost Inn and we decided to elope. What a stroke of luck!
The property is very nice, our cab pulled into a sprawling green meadow dotted with flowers. On one side was a large split-rail pen holding several horses and on the other side was the home. Everyone was excited... The owner, Barbara Parker, welcomed us, showed us our accomodations and invited us to make ourselves comfortable. She led us upstairs to the loft complete with books and games for the guests, and a terrific view of the mountains.
Prior to our arrival, Barbara had made arrangements with a local priest and photographer to handle our ceremony and she offered flowers to my daughter. We were married in a meadow about 100yds from her home. It was better than I had imagined it. Upon returning to the house, we found she had purchased a wedding cake for us at the local store.
We were so very pleased to stay here, the room was spacious, the property was beautiful and I can't help feeling like it was meant to be. We had a fancy meal at a local German restaurant, though I cannot remember the name now. But it was also an nice experience.
Anyhow - all of our thanks to you, Barbara... Hope this review finds you well. This year will be our 9th anniversary and we're glad we began it with you.
