very comfortable room and bed. breakfast very accommodating to my gluten free requests. B&B is a little off main road but still plenty of restaurants within 5 to 7 miles. views of mountains are great and paved road goes to property.

The website looked so nice but we have found in the past that often it is NOT a true representation of a place.....that is the OPPOSITE of Wild Horse Inn!! It was even more beautiful than we expected!! Libby was extraordinarily sweet and accomodating and took us on a tour of the cabins so that we could decide which we preferred for our next visit. We had booked the "buckskin room" in the main lodge and were thoroughly satisfied, but if we decide to bring our border collie, it's nice to know the cabins are just as lovely! John really puts a lot of thought and creativity into his breakfasts and i enjoyed them immensely....which is saying something because i don't like to eat breakfast :-) It was delightful to sit on the deck and drink a complimentary glass of wine, head to a good restaurant for dinner and then return and enjoy a nice cup of hot tea while soaking in the hot tub!! Bob and I are rarely sad to come home to our dogs and our own lovely home, but it took us a couple of days to get past our "post Wild Horse Inn depression." LOL We highly recommend this B & B and encourage you to visit! We can't wait to return!

Room Tip: If you value privacy, I'd recommend one of their cute little cabins or any of the rooms in the m...

Wild Horse Inn one of the nicest B&B's we've stayed at in a long time. The staff was wonderful, friendly, and always available to answer questions. The breakfast was perfect and very tasty. There was a lot of attention to details such as robes and slippers for the hot tub, wine, tea, soft drinks and cookies available 24/7. Our room in the main lodge was beautiful and spacious.
It's a great location close to WP, RMNP and Grand Lake. The staff was most helpful in giving ideas for great hikes! It was a very relaxing stay and we hope to come back soon!

Wild Horse Inn is at the top of the list of places we have stayed on any weekend getaway. It is an easy drive from where we live in Denver. We were in the main building and everything was perfect from the time we got there. During the day we could go explore the area or spend the afternoon relaxing on the back deck with a book or playing fetch with the owners dog. In the evenings, sitting by the stone fireplace in the main room was the perfect end to the day. The owners are very accommodating and GREAT to work with. They made it a very friendly and inviting atmosphere. The complimentary wine, cookies, water, and soda are a great perk as well. We are already looking for the next time we can visit the Wild Horse Inn so we can try one of their cabins.

Very clean, healthy breakfast and a great quiet place to stay! Convenient to RMNP, Grand Lake, skiing and mtn biking. Only traveling tip we would share would be to have activities planned. The rooms in the Inn are perhaps smaller than average, have only one chair to sit in, no TV and outdated movies. Common in the mtns yet some people expect to have TV access wherever they stay. Wi-fi was slow so there is your excuse to NOT take any work with you!

We met up with another couple here for a weekend visit and this place checks all the boxes. We stayed in a room while our friends stayed in a cottage so we spent some time in both locations. Both were new, very well appointed, uber-clean, and spacious. Lots of outlets for gadget recharging too. Turns out that John is not only an owner but is a talented masseur. Breakfast won't over-stuff you but was very tasty. Kudos for the little touches done right - water, soda, wine & cookies available 24/7! Very well staffed for a B&B Lodge so somebody was always available to answer a question. Convenient location to Grand Lake & RMNP too. More than just a place to sleep; a weekend destination.

Room Tip: Cannot go wrong in the main building or with a cottage. No bad choices.

We love this Inn! This is the second time my husband and I have stayed there. The memories that stood out for us the first time - were how comfortable it was to lounge in front of the large stone fire place and look through the great collection of books, and how much we enjoyed the high bed and the conversations we had with the other guests around the breakfast table. This time we had the luxury to stay in the Mariposa Cabin. I feel I could live there full time. It is a great use of space – and lots of attention is paid to details i.e. a hand-painted sink in the bathroom. I appreciate all of the materials used in the structures and furniture throughout the lodge. The setting is lovely ….very convenient to several mountain towns and hikes. And it is less than 2 hours from where we live in Denver. The atmosphere is relaxing and stimulating at the same time. We look forward to going there again and again.
