Definitely a good spot to stop by, the museum did realy made good job preserving the old houses and cabins. The museum is free and has a nice card to get stamped in each house, which keep the kids engaged.definitely suggested.

“Colorado in the early days”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

The little cabins show how the early settlers lived in the mountains and what they had to do for food and clothes and fur. And how they handled the law and schools. Very interesting even for small children.

“wonderful, historic review of old mining town”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

Many old buildings were brought to the center of this cool, little town to show what it looked like in the 1820's. You can hear a narrator explain what the buildings were used for and who established the businesses or homes/ranches back then. Very fascinating for history buffs.
