“Perfect Location, Hotel, and Hosts”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

My partner and I stayed at Almyra Guest Houses for a week in July 2014 as part of our honeymoon. We loved the location as it was easy access to 3 beaches and only a short 10 minute bus ride to Mykonos City. The room was clean, well sized, and with nice interior features. Finally our stay was only made better by the hosts of the venue (Takis and Parthena) who go out of their way to be available to you and help you enjoy your stay.

My husband and I stayed at Almyra Guest House in July and we had an amazing experience there. The apartment was beautifully decorated and we had a balcony with a superb view of the sea/beach. But the best thing about Almyra is without a doubt the kindness and assistance of Takis and Nena. They are incredible people and took really good care of us.
Almyra is at walking distance of two beautiful beaches: Paraga and Platis Gialos (not the party all day ones) which makes it a great place to stay if you are planning a quiet vacation.

Room Tip: We stayed at a studio on the top floor and it was really quiet (nobody on top) plus it had a great b...

My boyfriend and I stayed at Almyra back in May when we were attending a wedding in Mykonos. The wedding was taking place just around the coast at the St Giorgio, where the rooms were expensive and received mediocre reviews. My boyfriend found Almyra after some searching on the internet and, although we felt a little bad breaking away from most of the wedding party, we had an absolutely amazing time staying in our own little loft/studio. We wouldn't have had it any other way. The hosts are extremely kind and welcoming, talking to you as little or as much as you like while you're there. We got on really well with them and so were often checking in as to the happenings of our stay. They took us to and from the airport, organized a scooter for us upon our arrival (at a slightly reduced rate, too) and generally provided an excellent service. The apartments were beautiful, all with fun and unique details (though still very tasteful, like the bathroom sink that was situated in an oil drum), and with great views down the hill and out to sea. Not only would I strongly recommend to others that they stay here if visiting Mykonos, but I am keen to get back there myself at some point.

Both Noula and Takis are the "Hostess of the Mostess", always there when you need them, yet discrete enough to give you space.

The apartments are exactly as seen on the website, super clean, well maintained, and peaceful.
The beach is only down the hill, 5 minutes walk if one decides to stay locally, but Takis is always full of advice as to where to go, eat and drink. I would advice to rent a car or motorbike since Mykonos is full of beautiful beaches and you can explore the island better this way.

All and all I would highly recommend Almyra Houses and definitely this will not be my last visit!

We had never been to Mykonos before and didn't really know what to expect. We were picked up at the port as pre-arranged and taken to the accomodation. Takis who is the owner was very informative and drove us a little past and pointed out three beautiful, and very different, beaches just down the road. We were instantly delighted with the location and accomodation! The rooms are so stylish down to every detail. No clutter and exceptionally clean! After checking in, where we were also offered a nice cold drink, we quickly headed down to the beaches. As this was May they weren't crowded and we beautiful and relaxing. Stunningly clean and crystal clear waters. We headed to Paraga Beach - http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g659660-d1752020-Reviews-Paranga_Beach-Platys_Gialos_Mykonos_Cyclades.html. Our favourite place was Kalua which had great service, beds and food! Very spoilt!! On an evening we decided to hit the town and Takis and his wife Nena kindly arranged a taxi, although you can get a bus from near the camp site. It was all very easy and Mykonos town didn't disappoint either! Great restaurants and bars, the food in the places we ate was first class! Again it was buzzing and not overly busy yet. Back to the accommodation to peace and quiet surrounded by nature! Bliss! Comfortable beds and pillows.. Very relaxing! If you like to be "away from it all" but near enough to the action when you want it this is the place! So much that we are going back... See you soon Takis and Nena - thank you for providing this beautiful escape!!

lovely apartments 5 minutes walk from Paraga beach. the owners are really what make these so great, they go out of their way to ensure your stay is great. They are slightly more isolated than we had thought so if you dont have a car/quad bike then expect to be €20 for taxi into town every night or walk 20 minutes up a hill to a bus stop. They are beautifully decorated in classic Mykonian fashion and the views are gorgeous and every house had a private terrace where you can sit for breakfast or drinks which is lovely.

Had a great holiday here during the 1st week of June 2014. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming upon our arrival and throughout the week. They picked us up and took us back to the airport and were kind enough to give us a lift into Mykonos Town one afternoon. The beach houses were in a great location with 4 beaches within walking distance. Agia Anna beach, the nearest beach to Almyra (5 mins walk), is a lovely, relaxing beach with a brilliant Taverna with traditional Greek food. Also, Paraga Beach is a nice sandy beach worth going to and the Tasos Taverna there was the best food we had during our trip. I would advise against going to Platys Gialos Bay as the beach is too busy and the food not as good and more expensive! We originally didn't have any form of transport but ended up hiring a quad bike for a few days. Was only 30 euros to hire and was a quick and easy way of getting around. This allowed us to explore the island a bit. Super Paradise Beach is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful sand and clear sea. I've never been to the Caribbean, but this must be pretty close to what it looks like! Mykonos Town is also worth going to. Only a 10 minute drive and lovely shops and tavernas. It is a maze walking around the streets so you will get lost at some point but can always find a way your way out! If you're looking for a relaxing week on a beach with good traditional Greek food and nice people, this is a great place to stay.
