We met some friends for Happy Hour at Jax Fish House last Friday at 4:30. The parking lot was already almost full and we were lucky to find one spot! Also we walked in and we were fortunate to get a table for 4.
2 of us had the white sangria which was really good and we ordered several different appetizers, including oysters of the day (which were just ok) the calamari which was great, the fish cakes which were also good, the peeling shrimps, gumbo and cup of roasted squash bisque.
The food was good, the portions small (really nothing big enough to really share).
The place got really crowded and busy by about 5:30.
The service was good except our waitress asked us if we wanted any last minute itme before the end of Hapy Hour and I ordered the gumbo which I never got.....But I did not get charged for it.
All in all it is a good place, but beware of the parking situation and small size plates for Happy Hour.
