“Had a Great Time”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We really enjoyed the park. There was 6 of us and we had the whole park to ourselves while we were there. We had 2 teen-age girls and they loved it. They rode the swing that hangs over the 1500 foot canyon multiple times. I rode the coaster many times. We would certainly go back again. It was very good value for the money. Get the all-day pass. Very worth it.

“Quality Tour”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

The caverns are similar to most but the difference is the tour guides. They give you lots of information and stories that make the tour interesting.

“We had a really great time!”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

We had a great time at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. The gondola ride up the mountain to where the park was, offered wonderful views of the Rockies.

Since I've been on several cave tours, I didn't expect the caverns to offer anything new. But they did. I was especially amazed at the beauty of the Fairy Caves.

The 4-D theater was excellent also. It was great that three different shows were offered.

Although there weren't many rides, we really enjoyed the ones they had. Two of the rides actually swung you out over the mountains....I bet you've never experienced that before. It was scary, but fun. The roller coaster was a blast, with its tight and fast twists and turns. It was amazing to coast down the side of the mountain on the alpine coaster. You had your own car and you could go as fast as you wanted. I even did the zipline ride. Because it was a double-seater, it didn't feel quite as scary as going alone.

I suggest that you get the day pass. Some of those in our party did not, but later wished they had. They had to pick and choose which amusements they wanted and then paid individually for them. They ended up paying almost as much as we did and didn't do everything they wanted to.

We got a discounted entry price for our group by using a coupon which was offered in a local brochure. So get lots of brochures and look through them.

We enjoyed going in the morning. There were no long lines, which was great.

The only reason I didn't give the park all 5's, is because of its size. I wish it were bigger and could have offered more rides and activities. Maybe the reason for this, is because it is built on a mountain top and space is limited. Overall, it was a really fun day!

Dear Denise2056,

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful review! We love hearing about our guests' visits, so we really appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

We're thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the cave tours; we agree that the Fairy Caves are pretty amazing. We're glad you enjoyed the adventure rides as well! We're happy to hear you took advantage of the FunDay pass, and we agree that it's the best value for enjoying the entire park.

As for size, we are constantly looking for new ideas to expand our array of attractions. The park has grown immensely over the last decade, including the addition of a new attraction (the Glenwood Canyon Flyer) this summer. We really appreciate your feedback, though, and we hope you can visit us again soon!

“Fun and informational”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 via mobile

Though this is a very small amusement park, the kids and I had a blast! The alpine slide is fantastic! My son couldn't get enough of this one. The eagle zip line is definitely not as scary as it looks. The views from the top are incredible! The roller coaster is fun but pretty jarring! I rode it twice and felt like I had a neck injury afterwards. I love the idea of the swings, however, it is quite frightening looking down the canyon below as you swing over it! The caves are great... As long as you go with a small group. Max there were supposed to be 20 people in our tour and the guide allowed 30. We couldn't see anything or hear much of what was being said. It is nice to cool off from the heat outside and learn a bit about the science and geology of the place. There are lots of covered areas to keep shaded which is much appreciated. Overall a very fun place for the family. Get the all day pass and you can come and go as you please, visit the caves, they gave us a great military discount, the ice cream was yummy. Lots of steep grades but not bad if you're in decent shape. We went on a weekday, July 1st and the lines were reasonable. Great place for family fun!

Dear Colie0110,

We're thrilled that your family enjoyed the adventure park so much! It sounds like you guys were busy trying all the different attractions, which is what we like to hear. Thanks for sharing your advice with our future guests, as well!

We are sorry that your cave tour experience was not more enjoyable; we hope you can visit again soon and participate in a smaller tour to get the full experience. You're right about the temperature, though! The caves remain at 52 degrees year-round, so they offer a refreshing break from the summer heat.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review; we really appreciate it.
