I am kind of getting to the point of "seen one cave, seen them all," but I have never had to take a gondola to tour one, so that was neat.

We did 10 days in CO. 3 days of Rocky Mountain Hiking / Vail Mountain Biking / Great Sand Dunes National Park and the Glenwood Adventure Park was my 12 year old son's favorite part of the vacation. We all had a blast. Alpine Coaster was fantastic, the roller coaster was awesome, the zip line was great and the Swing and the Canyon Flyer was off the chart. The cavern tours were a nice break from the rides - Educational and cool. He wanted to watch the 4 D movies before we departed and that was a nice surprise too. We got there at 10:00 and did not leave till 6:00. The hot springs below in Glenwood that night was a great way to end a perfect day.. Thanks for a great time..

We are SO happy to have been your son's favorite part of your Colorado vacation! It sounds like you had an amazing trip, and we are thrilled to have been a part of it. It sounds like you had a busy day trying all the different attractions, which is what we like to hear. Finishing the day with a soak in the Hot Springs Pool also sounds pretty nice!

Had a blast at the Park. To call it an amusement park does not do it justice. We had kids 7 and 11 with us and the adults had just as much fun. Best to get the all inclusive pass for the best value. Outside food is allowed as you can pack a lunch.

The roller coaster is at over 7000 feet of elevation and it is the highest elevation coaster in North America.

Thank John M

This park had rides for everyone. The thrill rides and things for kids. They had the short 4D movies (in the air) a few every hour there were a nice break and the rides were appropriate for most all ages. We did the cave tour and if you've never been to CO or in a cave it's worth it but it wasn't the best one I've been in. It's a little touristy but still worth it if you've never been to one before.

The thrill rides were the best part!
They also had reasonable food and overall it was a great day. I suggest going here just for the thrill rides.

We went on a Friday and the park was not crowded at all. Maybe the threat of rain drove the non-locals away. Anyway, we bought the full day pass and rode all the rides, toured both caves, saw the short little 4-D movies, and then went back and rode the rides again. We were on the Alpine Coaster five times.
The views are spectacular on top of this Iron Mountain. Some might think the price of admission is high ($48 each, with other ticket options that are less) but you get to do so much stuff! Some of the rides ( the canyon swing) scared the beejeebies out of me and there were other rides that were just plain glorious fun. The bigger roller coaster is fun but it will jerk you around so I would not advise it for anyone with bad neck or back issues. There are rides for little kids and big kids, the park was clean and the people were nice. About the only negative thing was the lack of concrete paths and instead there was a lot of gravel and some muddy spots but they are a fairly new park so I am sure more paving will be done. The gondolas were closed down when we wanted to leave at 6, so we had to wait a little bit to catch the bus down . About a twenty minute wait.
This mountain park is adding new stuff every year and I applaud their efforts. Very fun place!!! I recommend.
