Yes, it was a steep 1/2 mile hike up to this amazing old cemetary, but so well worth it! What I thought was going to be just a 10 min little side trip ended up lasting for 2 hours! The brochure you could pick up at the cemetary entrance was so helpful in providing some history behind some of the people buried there. Very Interesting!!! I will definately go again on my next visit to Glenwood Springs!

My wife is from Dodge City and wanted to see Doc Holliday's memorial. The only time we had to go was at night. The hike up is worth it and a cemetery at night is great family fun.

hot day about 96 made the 1/2 mile hike up the hill to see Doc Holiday's final resting place an adventure.

Bring water and take your time if you are of average fitness. If you like a challenge, attempt to run up the hill for a thrill

Not much parking at the trail head, it is in a residential neighborhood.

Interesting history and well worth the effort.

you will love the Linwood Cemetery. Not everyone's cup of tea but it certain was mine. It was really hot when we went up to the cemetery -- the walk is pretty steep -- but well worth it. The views are beautiful....Doc Holiday's grave is way in the back so you have to go through the cemetery to get to it. The way is well marked.

This was a fun, beautiful hike up to the cemetery where Doc is buried. We enjoyed the city view as we ascended, and once at the top, we explored around the cemetery reading the old headstones. A good hike for kids, as it's not too far or steep.
