“Wonderful Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2014

Very professional and experienced staff. With it being a smaller company, they not only customized our experience (or lack or experience on the raft), but gave us time on two rivers, while avoiding the large crowds of nearby mass rafting companies. We went with 4 kids, none of whom had ever rafted, and not only did they love the experience of rafting, the personalization and smaller crowd allowed for us to experience our first time kayaking as well, also a first and a crowd favorite! Super nice people, knowledgeable, and patient! We have rafted with the mass crowd companies before and this was SO much nicer. We would repeat this again and again on future visits to Glenwood. Definitely the highlight of our visit with everyone, adults and teens (17, 13, 12, and 11). Great time!

Adding a kayak to your trip is a smart move, especially with teenagers! Getting to trade in and out with others on the raft makes it fun, and entertaining for everyone. Thank You for your business and most of all for your candid comments.

“Best Rafting Trip Ever - Slaughterhouse Falls”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2014

Best rafting experience ever! Rafting with “Up Tha Creek Expeditions” was like rafting with long time friends. No long lines, no wasted time, no big yellow bus.

I chose “Up Tha Creek Expeditions” on June 21, 2014 because they are a smaller rafting company and offer rafting on Slaughterhouse Falls on the Roaring Fork River and rafting on the Crystal River. I knew I would have a good time rafting, but what impressed me most with “Up Tha Creek” is their professional and personalized service. Owner Ryan Moyer was also my guide for the day. Talk to Ryan for a while and you will know he is passionate about rafting. Ryan is a very experienced guide and all of the rafting equipment is in great condition and included in the price. I’m sure Ryan and his wife Molly had just as much fun as I did rafting on the Roaring Fork class IV rapids.

Give Ryan a call and talk to him about rafting. Once you raft with a personalized company like “Up Tha Creek Expeditions”, you will never want to use a large rafting company again.

Ron I had a blast with your family. You all enjoying the trips so much to keep coming back each day. Then ending up rafting with us three days in a row on two rivers… well that just made my season. I hope you all keep on rafting and enjoying life the way you do, because it rubs off on people! Thank You for your business and most of all for your candid comments.

“Support small business”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014

About 2 years ago my husband and I took a rafting trip down clear creek river in Idaho springs. We used a large rafting company because we did not know otherwise. We overpaid, it took forever to get started, and because we were in such a large group, it didn't seem personal at all. We were required to wear a helmet and wet suit and life vest, which in turn made the entire trip very uncomfortable.
The river was unexciting and quite low. Needless to say, using a large corporate company was not a real rafting experience and seemed very staged.
So when we met up with up tha creek, our entire view on what rafting was about changed. I could not have asked for a more perfect and fun trip. My cheeks hurt from laughing and smiling the entire time. It is just a husband and wife who own a few rafts. They have the best rates, knowledge, and personable qualities. They were very easy going. Wet suits and helmets were optional. And they took us down an amazing 2.5 hour ride. We were able to swim and switch seats.
They also take pictures and just post them online for anyone to see. Unlike the larger company, who charged $50 for a couple photos.
It felt like a real rafting trip and so relaxing. I recommend this company to everybody. It's good to support local business and feel taken care of.
Thanks guys!

Your welcome. Sorry you didn't like your Clear Creek experience. Next time you want to do something closer to Denver try the Upper Colorado River. We run Gore Canyon, and Little Gore Canyon with different options! Thank You for your business and most of all for your candid comments.

“Great Family Trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2014

Our first rafting trip with our 9, 7 and 5 year olds was a huge success thanks to Ryan, Molly and Steve. We were very concerned about the safety of the water this time of year. Not only did Ryan very professionally reassure us that it was safe, he kayaked along side of our raft the entire way just to add another layer of safety. He went above and beyond to address our concerns and we were very grateful for that! The trip was amazing! Steve was a wonderful, friendly and informative guide. He let the kids "steer" the raft and was very patient with them. This is the way to go! When it comes to an adventure like this, these guys are the right people! We felt we were given such personalized service and attention. They are all super nice people too! Yay for small business!!! Keep it up!!

When we have concerned parents we do our very best to assure your families safety. I was happy to kayak along side your raft, though it wasn't necessary, I knew it would ease your mind. I would do it again if you asked! Thank You for your business and most of all for your candid comments.

“Roaring fork river rafting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

Had a blast again. Last year the river level was low so we enjoyed the lower end of the river. This year the snow pack was good so we were taken further up river and got to enjoy more rapids and great knowledgeable rafting guides. We will definitely be back with them if we come back next year. Thank you Sara and Steve.
