After driving across the Mojave, I just decided to hang it up and stay on the Western Slope just east of Rifle, Colorado. The Red Mountain in had the best rates and best overall environment I could find after checking 5 places via smart phone.

On a holiday weekend, their AAA rates were 15% less than the competition. These well kept cabin-like rooms must be recently refurbished; everything inside is modern and clean. I would say that these rooms are under-rated from reading their website. (I stayed in a room in the 111’s) and it was impeccable, clean a view to the beautiful red mountain and also private if I closed the front drapes.

Room Tip: (I stayed in a room in the 111’s) and it was impeccable, clean a view to the beautiful red mountain...

A pet friendly hotel, charged $10/dog/night, but didn't have any issue with me traveling with 3 dogs. The continental breakfast in the morning was a big skimpy, but there are plenty of restaurants around. The room was nice and gives the impression of cabins although it's a hotel. Grass at the top of the hill for the dogs was a small yard area where I was able to toss the frisbee for one of my dogs. Another grassy area with picnic tables said no dogs allowed, but they were watering the lawn and my dogs just HAD to play in the sprinklers for a little while. Nice place, good sidewalks in the area for going for a walk.

My husband and I just needed a value-priced place to shower and sleep and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was cool and clean AND we had a mini fridge and microwave. While very outdated, we didn't mind as the hotel staff was very pleasant. Continental breakfast was all we needed to get going early in the morning! Would love to stay here again!

Room Tip: Rooms on the North West side are a bit quieter as they are further from the road and burger joint.

Family operating this motel is very nice, considerate and helpful in every way. It is an older motel but rooms are clean, fresh and quiet, bigger than an average, with at least fridge and microwave and some with kitchen. We enjoyed pool and hot tub and light breakfast with choices of fresh fruit, pastries, power bars, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk and juices. There is a great mini golf right next door and in five minutes you are in the middle of the city. We did check around - it is a great offer for the price.

Room Tip: Small and big families will find their fit here.

My family and I have stayed at Red Mountain for the past 2 summers. We're a large group with kids and stay a week at a time. THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL TO US. The rooms are older but very clean and well kept. We have a kitchen and access to a great pool and hot tub. Best place in Glenwood for us. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it for those looking for a great value.

We thoroughly enjoyed Cabin #125 for four nights as we shared a family reunion with about 35 relatives gathered in Glenwood Springs. Our 90# Samoyed really appreciated the pet yard right next door, as well as the spacious cabin and great A/C in the unusual 90 degree heat!

The outdoor pool was another great amenity, and the staff couldn't have been any nicer and more helpful.

We highly recommend Red Mountain Inn and will return the next time we visit Glenwood Springs.

Room Tip: Cabin #125 is at top of the hill and very quiet.

Great experience, especially if you travel with Fido. There is a nice grass area on the property and
It's easy to take your dog there. The hotel staff is very friendly and they are definitely dog lovers.
Best place in Glenwood Springs for our needs.
