We had reserved a three-night tent stay here, but when we arrived we discovered that the site is perched on a hillside right next to the (very noisy) freeway. We expressed our concern about noise to the owner and he told we would not find a quieter camp site in town. He even told us that he "practically owns" the other campground in town and it is just as noisy. I cannot sleep with a lot of traffic noise and so, although we felt bad canceling our reservation, we paid one night's fee and left. It turned out that the other campsite in town (The Hideout) is wonderful - in woods with a stream running through it and VERY quiet. I guess Ami's Acres can't help being where it is and if you are in an RV, then maybe the noise won't be as bothersome. However, I really resent being lied to. If you are looking for a good tent campground in Glenwood Springs, check out the Hideout - it's a fabulous place and much nicer than Ami's Acres.
