My sisters and I stayed for a couple of days.
We loved our room, it had three beds and extra sofa beds. cable TV, fridge, microwave. Our room had a huge mirror and a couple of sinks that helped us girls get ready faster.
We didn't know what the continental breakfast was, it was ok, but It would be great if they seved eggs and bacon.
Looking forward to comming back soon. it is a great place.

We recently went to Glenwood Springs- we usually go 2 to 3 times a summer and have for years and years. For probably the past 10 years, we have usually stayed at the Cedar Lodge. This time, I called a couple of other places to compare prices and I was quite pleased to find the Cedar Lodge was the best value once again. It is a basic motel, but we have always found it to be well maintained over the years, with changes made when needed. The rooms have a refrigerator and microwave which is very helpful as we usually have an ice chest with lunch items for the pool the next day. When we arrive, they usually have cooled the room down some which is nice and they update the beds and all. The breakfast is a very nice spread of cold items such as cereals, yogurt, bagels, basic pastry items probably prepackaged and coffee, juice, milk, etc... It is not a buffet or anything, but we have found that other places in town say they have "breakfast" and it is basically and packaged sweet roll and coffee in the office. The Cedar Lodge has a nice breakfast room with about 9 4 seater tables so you can sit down and eat. I would have liked to see some fresh fruit, but hey- I''m not really compaining! For the rates, I was quite satisfied.
They also have a nice outdoor pool and an indoor pool and hot tub. I don't think I have ever been in them because our focus in going there is to spend a day or two at the Hot Springs Lodge and Pool and we are usually pooled out by the time we arrive there. They are very friendly and accomodating to us and we have appreciated the friendly touch such as having them recognize our name when we call and to be open about our arrival times. i would like to see them make a changeover from bedspreads to comforters that can be laundered as many places have- that is my preference. Just a thought. Thanks Cedar Lodge for many years of pleasure with our family!

Yes, we did add fruit to our continental breakfast.
The entire property received new mattress' and bedding in 2010.

I was in Glenwood Springs with a few mates of mine on Holiday and we had a blast staying at the Cedar Lodge Motel. They have a very friendly and courteous staff, an indoor and outdoor pool, complete with sauna and hot tub We mostly used the outside pool, but it was nice to know we had an option. It was also great that downtown Glenwood Springs and the hot springs pool were just a few minutes away. Will definitely have to visit again.

Cheers,
Reginald Dawson

Room Tip: The two-bed suite was ace!

A really friendly and great value place to stay. Rooms were very clean, Continental breakfast was more than adequate and the management and staff were so friendly and helpful - all you needed to do was ask - and they couldn't do enough to make sure everything was okay for us. This may not be a five star hotel but they give you a five star welcome. You will stay in a lot of places costing a lot more than this hotel and not get as good value for your money.

We arrived late in the evening but we were friendly welcomed.
The hotel needs renovation in and around the hotel.
The room was clean. We slept very well.
The bathroom needs renovation but it was ok for one night.
Breakfast was very basic. We paid a small price for basic accommodation.

We just stayed for 5 nights, and it was a decent stay.
Pros: clean, staff obviously takes pride in the place, I thought the bed was comfortable, pools, etc., fridge and microwave, Wifi, AMAZING views, good location, affordable, pretty grounds.
Cons: "amenities" are EXTREMELY basic, exercise room had only 3 pieces of equipment, breakfast was well stocked but the variety was sugar, sugar, and more sugar. If you like kids cereal and toaster waffles, it's fine, but I would've loved it if there was fruit or something a little more substantial like scrambled eggs. Breakfast room also very crowded, my husband had to stand and eat one morning, and another day we had to take our breakfast to our room. No iron in rooms or laundry room. Some of my family came up later in the week and stayed in a room with a kitchen, which had only one pan that didn't heat in the center and smelled like fish when heated. The kitchen table takes up all free space in the kitchen and we were pretty much tripping over each other trying to cook meals. Pool was FREEZING, but hot tub was nice (until about ten more people came in and had to sit in the hot tub because the pool was too cold). Walls are paper thin, one night we were kept up late by shower in next room, each day we were woken up by people walking by outside. My husband thought the bed was very uncomfortable. Hot water in showers was too hot (could easily burn a child).
Overall: nice people, obvious care put into the place, pretty grounds and view, but basic. Good value but don't expect anything fancy. Had stayed before (in the cabin, which was also nice but basic), would stay again.

I have stayed at many different hotels in glenwood springs over many years, and I just spent the last few nights there under their ski and stay package with my wife and 6 and 8 year old kids. The people who run and manage this hotel have a obvious pride in their hotel that is ubiquitous throughout the property. You couldn't ask for cleaner rooms, better beds, continental breakfast, along with great hospitality and knowledge of the area their staff happily provides. We had a wonderful and stress free time in glenwood this time much due to the very clean indoor pool and hotub and thankfully this hotel is close to many grocery stores and restaurants and pretty much a straight shot and very close sunlight ski resort. And wait until you see what a great deal it is also.
