Great place to stay and close to Lassen National Park. Al, the owner was very friendly and hospitable and acted more like a friend than a merchant. The room I had was meticulously clean and warm which is a plus during the winter. They have a huge selection of DVD's to choose from if you don't feel like watching satellite TV. For a good price ($55 for one queen) you also get a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. I will definitely stay here again!

We were a bit skeptical of staying at a "Motel" after hearing of the clientele that can frequent these places. We were pleasantly surprised by the condition, amenities and cleanliness of this "Motel". They even offered a Continental breakfast which was satisfying, although I'd like to suggest they add fruit to the spread. Otherwise was all very good.

Having family living in the the area I have visited Glenwood Springs many times and stayed at many different places. Cedar Lodge was a great choice. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooms also have a small refrigerator/microwave which is a great convenience. The kids loved the indoor pool. We loved the indoor jacuzzi. On our next visit Cedar Lodge Motel will be our choice of a place to stay.

We were traveling through and I had a horrible pulled neck muscle so we decided we needed a night to relax in a hot tub so we chose Cedar Lodge. The lady at the desk was very friendly and answered all our questions without getting impatient even when she had other customers waiting. Couple of fast food restaurants close by, didn't pay attention to whether there was any nicer restaurants around. The indoor pool and hot tub was perfect - after about 10 minutes we had it all to ourselves which was nice. Rooms were clean and the hotel wasn't very busy-I was impressed they put us in an area without any neighbors which was unusual, usually they put everybody in one area. I would definatly stay here again. Beautiful view of the mountains.

This is NOT a five star hotel, but it's better than a 4 star. We were travelling through the mountains and had to stop for the nights. This hotel is a little bit off the beaten path, but we called the front desk and the talked us through and we got there with their excellent directions.
The place was fairly crowded and though I heard people walking by the door, I didn't hear anyone in the rooms surrounding our room (they were both occupied). There was an outdoor pool, which looked cute, but it was too late and cold for anyone to be using it. There was an indoor pool and hot tub and those families who were there, seemed to be having fun. There is an ice machine and a free continental breakfast. The breakfast consisted of bagels, jelly and cream cheese. Cold and hot cereal. Danish and fruit. Hot tea, hot chocolate and coffee...what's weird is that the attendant put hot water through the old coffee grounds instead of making fresh coffee.
The rooms were very comfortable. The carpet seemed clean, the sheets and towels were fresh and the bathroom was very clean. The shower had great pressure and very hot water. The bed was very comfortable!
This hotel was a great find after a very long drive.
Thank you Cedar Lodge!

We stayed at the Cedar Lodge Motel over Labor Day weekend to celebrate our sons birthday. We booked a family suite direct with the motel. We loved the room, there was plenty of room, comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. It was great celebrating our sons birthday with a home cooked meal.

We spent a lot of time at the pool. The outside pool was great with beautiful views and plenty of tables and chairs. The indoor pool/hot tub area was very clean and peaceful in the evening before putting the boys to bed. The boys enjoyed playing with some of the other children. We had a chance to visit with other visitors and thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

The continental breakfast offers a variety of pastries, cereals, juices, milk and was great for a family without having to go to a local restaurant.

The rooms were clean and the employees at the front desk were very helpful with answering questions about the area. We will definately stay the next time we are in the Glenwood Springs area.
