“No grave for Holliday, just a memorial”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 June 2014

You cannot drive up to the cemetery. You have to find a place to park on the residential streets at the trailhead. You walk up a dirt road with a fairly steep incline. There is not much shade, so it was hot going up. Like other reviewers have said, this cemetery is not kept up at all. Many of the gravestones are new, though they mark deaths from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I didn't think there was much of a view when you got to the top of the hill. Was it worth the walk up? Barely.

“Glad I went but...”

So, this is more of a memorial or monument. It's not til you get up there that you find out that he's buried somewhere in the cemetery but they don't exactly know where. And then you also find out that they pulled up his original tombstone in 2004 due to inaccurate info on it. Wish they would have left it. Would have loved to see THAT tombstone.

“Interesting bit of history”

Hiked up to see the graveyard. Very sad to see so many graves for babies and children! Doc Holiday may not even be burried there - nobody is really sure, but they do have a memorial headstone for him as well as Kid Curry.

“Flash Back in Time, Historical Graveyard”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

We hiked up the hill that reminded us of a cemetery we visited in Bonghwa, S. Korea. Old tomb stones in both places, both on top of a hill overlooking the town. We also thought of Anne's ancestral home cemetery out on the plains of Minnesota as the stones were of a similar age and shape. As a matter of fact because of the Doc Holliday grave stone we were reminded of Tombstone, though that one is way too kitschy. The hike up was short and the view of the valley below is beautiful. The hike probably took minutes and takes off from right in town. We are not really afficianados of cemeteries, even though we have seen plenty, but this one is worth the short walk.

“The grave that's not a grave”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

This is a nice short hike to the top of the hill and the old cemetery where the grave marker for Doc Holliday is. It is a very cool spot but apparently he's not really buried there but in some ladies back yard! But it's still pretty cool to visit and take pictures of. A lot of people leave items for Doc there
