“Great Golf Course, The Grass is Perfect”

Ironbridge Golf Club
More attraction details
Attraction details
Owner description: Known as one of the most scenic courses in Colorado, Ironbridge Club is the only 18-hole golf course in Glenwood Springs that is open to public play. Originally designed by Arthur Hills, the course was refined by Tom Lehman in 2014 and its 7,224 yards include a 495-foot gain in elevation from the pro shop to the tee on #12. More than just a day of golf, Ironbridge provides an invigorating adventure! The Ironbridge Grill offers casual, yet elevated, American fare. Even if you’re not a golfer, come enjoy lunch, dinner or cocktails on the covered patio or deck overlooking the driving range.

“Great Golf Course, The Grass is Perfect”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Awesome Golf Course, the quality of the grass is unbelievable, just perfection. 79$ for public includes cart and range. Walking is not an option some of the holes as a lot of distance between them but that is what makes this course awesome. The first 4 holes of the back nine is insane, lots of elevation change and your up in the mountains, crossing canyons and the views is amazing. This course rivals the 150 dollar courses at Breckenridge, Vail and the private Aspen courses. Dont waste your money there, go here if your in the glenwood springs area.

“" Out of this World Golf Course "”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

I have never seen anything like this. OMG most beautiful course I have played. Front 9 is so peaceful you play with the river on each hole.

On the back it is like a totally different course. Very challenging, but so much fun. The views are breath taking. Course set up and greens are so pure. One of the best mountain courses I have ever played and I have played almost all the mountain courses in Colorado.

On the front 9 is where I had my 1st ( Hole In One ) Par 3 Hole # 6
You have to play, do not miss this course.

“Great course”
Reviewed 28 May 2014 via mobile

Awesome course with great views. This is definitely not your typical public course though. Well maintained and challenging. The back 9 like the rest of the reviewers say are beautiful. Have fun and don't get discouraged after losing a lot of your balls. . Oh, the staff at the club house were very nice and courteous.

Beautiful well maintained course. The back nine is definitely a challenge. A little expensive but it includes all the driving range balls you want and the cart.

“Frustrating for typical golfers”
Reviewed 7 November 2013

This course is well maintained and has some views that people from the "flatlands" would consider spectacular, though as a resident of the area I consider the views to be much less than the best in the area.

The rates are reasonable and the staff is accommodating. But several of the holes -- especially numbers 10 thru 13 -- are ridiculously difficult and frustrating for typical golfers with handicaps greater than 18 or so. This is exacerbated by a lack of GPS on the carts or even appropriate signage or diagrams of hole layouts indicating distance to obstacles like ravines and bunkers.

The course is apparently fine for above average golfers who are familiar with it, but not so for most golfers.
