Always a great family trip for a mountain weekend at the pool -- summer with some golf, winter with some skiing.

Wish we could come more often, but we are always welcomed by the Hot Springs Lodge and feel very welcome. Clean and pleasant with a lovely view of the mountains and the pool.

The stay here is over-priced. You'ld be better off staying somewhere else and visit the pool on a daily basis. You have to walk accross the street to get to the pool. You're mixed in with everyone else visiting the pool. Just because you stay here, doesn't get you access to any additional amenities. Not worth staying here.

Room Tip: Was really turned off with the cleanliness of the room. You can tell they rotate as many people in a...

We pass near every year on the way to a week at a cabin owned by my brother. This year we all spent 2 nights at the hotel, got a package with passes to the adventure park and cave tour and loved it.

Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge is a nice hotel. It's not what I would call 5 star, but it is comfortable and they are doing a good job with the renovations. We stayed in a newly renovated room and had covered parking two out of three of the evenings. However, the covered parking area is very tight and it's easier to park in the designated parking lot behind the hotel. The beds and pillows are comfortable, and the rooms are adequate in size. I did feel like the A/C was a bit loud, though, when it came on and off, and I never felt like the room got cool enough, but it wasn't enough to keep me awake.

There is not a restaurant in the lodge area so you have to walk over to the hot springs pool to eat at the grill, and continental breakfast is included in the rate, or you get a discount on an order. I would like to see a full service restaurant in the hotel instead, where you don't feel like you're sharing your meal with all the pool guests, and you get something a bit better than "fast food." However, the rates for the guests were excellent and very affordable, so I shouldn't complain, and the grill food although limited, was tasty. The dining area could have been cleaner, however, and seating was crowded.

The front desk staff was very friendly upon check in and we were lucky enough to have our rooms ready upon arrival, but I did hear them tell others that their rooms were not ready yet and they offered to let them leave their bags while they enjoyed the facilities.

One of the perks of the hotel is their location to Blue Sky rafting, which is located right next door, so if you want to go white water rafting while you're there, you just walk over and leave all your stuff in the hotel. You are also in walking distance to downtown (right across the bridge) and the best eating spots are located right there on the other side of the bridge.

Overal value, room cost, discounted breakfast, pool entry was good for the rate of $270 a night (including tax) and I would stay there again, but only if I intend to take full advantage of the pool. If I just need a place to stay without the use of the spa, there are more affordable options around town.

One other thing, internet service is not good at all so don't stay here thinking you can work while you're here. Wireless is not that good in the rooms.

As other reviews have said, the locaiton is fantastic, if you plan on spending time at the hot springs. The springs are relatively expensive, so the hotel's free entry paases are a pretty good deal.

Overall the property is non-descript, no- frills, but reasonably well cared for. Kind of the opposite of the Hotel Colorado next door, which has a terrifc outdoor garden area, a wonderful lobby, but did not feel as clean.

Despite what you see on the website, half the rooms have been renovated and half have not. In our case, we got to see all the signs inside the hotel showing the wonderful amenities at our room would have in 2012. Since our room was in the non-renovated half, it was kind of irritating.
