Okay in the summer, so cold in the winter HVAC is shot. Location is fantastic so I guess that is worth it I guess. WIFI is free but it never works and the indoor pool is good but you can smell it everywhere. 3 stars? maybe 1.5

The Ramada Inn beckons you right off I-70, in the Roaring Fork Valley, in walking distance of the world's largest hot springs, sandwiched between a lively Mexican restaurant and the ever comfortable Village Inn. A short walk over the Colorado River via a pedestrian bridge brings you to the eclectic town with an abundance of restaurants and tourist shops. Any problems with your room or amenities, Van Sea and the staff of the Ramada Inn will make sure you will be taken care of.

The weekend included a tour of the Faerie Caverns a short gondola ride up Iron Mountain. At the top of the mountain are inspiring views of the Roaring Fork Valley, the Colorado River, and the splendid Mount Sopris to the south, where you can hike to Thomas Lake for a good workout before relaxing in the hot springs. And the hot springs experience is totally different during the day and during the evening hours when the stars are out and the air temperature is significantly cooler than the steady 94F temperature of the springs!

And to top off your weekend, try the Italian eatery Pepo Nino. Whether steak or pork chops, the food and service and wine list is superb. A very intimate setting makes the meal experience wonderful.

Three hours from Denver, but the fresh air and things to do, will make you think you are really on vacation.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room and you will be accommodated. Steer clear of the elevators or stairwells for op...

Great room. but no control of heat. Temp was 82 degrees. Great check in, Andy. Could hear the elevator bell go off all night.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in a hotel. Although my room was clean and nice, I don’t think I would ever stay here again. When asked to speak to a manager about complaints, we were told that we are not allowed to speak to the manager (by two separate employees). We were told that any complaints had to go to the company we booked through since we didn’t go directly through Ramada. I even contacted the Ramada customer service via email but have heard nothing. Obviously customer satisfaction is not a priority.

On the positive side are two things: the rooms were OK and the breakfast was great. The man helping serve and cook breakfast (there was only one person in charge of everything) was amazing and even remembered my omelet order the next day.

Negative aspects of this hotel were many. To start, the main elevator is broken down. The pool is tiny and could use some maintenance. The hot tub was too hot and had too much chlorine- it burned us to get in. To top it off, we had 4 people staying in our room and were given three towels. When we asked for an additional towel we were told by the lady at the reception desk that it is against the policies of the new management to give us another towel. It is also against their policy to let us use an ice bucket or to give us a band-aid (though the signs clearly state we should ask if we forget anything.) The best part is that our shower drain was clogged. When asked to fix it we were told that maintenance had gone home for the day so we could pack up and go to another room or wait until the next day. We chose not to move everything and the next day when we asked about it, the person on duty thought we had moved. This issue was never fixed.

There are great public hang out places, but our kids weren’t allowed near the bar. There is a huge lack of communication as well since we were told that we could order breakfast from the restaurant and the next morning were told that the restaurant was closed a while ago. The workout facility next door is available 24 hours a day, but they lost all of their passes so we could only go during business hours.

Room Tip: half of the rooms are updated and others aren't- get one near only working elevator or go to ano...

We have stayed at this hotel a few times over the last year and each time our visit has gotten worse. This time the hotel was so dirty we decided to book another hotel and suffer the loss. For the same price we stayed at the Marriott.

1st- the first room they gave us had not been cleaned which I'm sure was a simple mistake. They did place us in another room which still not very clean.

2nd-when we stayed here back in September the elevator was out of service and still in November still not working. I have seen several reviews dating back to before august complaining about the elevator.

3rd- common areas and pool/hot tub area, very dirty!

4th- No complimentary breakfast. They do have breakfast but for a small fee of 9.95 per person and it's terrible.

My advice stay at another hotel this place needs a major overhaul stay at the the Courtyard at Marriott same price for all the amenities.
