Ok, so we got a great rate on Priceline for this hotel, and I was somewhat sketched out about the mixed reviews, but people can be dramatic sometimes, so I thought we would be fine.
We got to the hotel, and immediately noticed that it was older, but whatever, right? We went inside, and the woman at the front desk was friendly, the lobby was old, but nicely appointed and clean. We thought, "this will probably work."
Then we went to our room. Whatever small amount of money was spent on updating the lobby was all the money they spent as the rest of the hotel was super creepy and everything looked like it was out of the 70s.
Our oom was at the end of the hallway, we walked in and the room, like everything was old, kind of dingy and everything it out-of-date. But whatever, right?
Then my wife noticed it: the door to the adjoing room was open a crack, so I went to investigate. I opened the door, and on the other side was a room that was in shambles, furniture strewn about, other items stored in there, etc. Very dirty, storage room kind of thing. So we immediately decided to close and lock the door and try to have a nice vacation. But we didn't have any locks on our side! So whoever had a key to the other room could walk into our room at any time and we couldn't do anything about it.
That was plenty for us. We left immediately, and went down the road to the Hampton Inn, which was the Taj Mahal in comparison to this place. We called Priceline to see if they could help us get any money refunded, but to date the Ramada has not cooperated.
All I can say is if you don't care where you sleep or you don't care about your safety, go ahead. But if you have any standards AT ALL, steer clear of this place, and head down the street to the Hampton Inn or the Holiday Inn Express...
P.S. I apologize for no pics, but we didn't stick around long enough to take any!!
