“Great view!”
Reviewed 28 June 2013 via mobile

We stayed in a king suite with a beautiful view of the Colorado river and Red Mountain. Room was very spacious and reasonably clean. Hotel only has 2 luggage carts, so it was a pain to carry all our bags without one. Only one person works the front desk at a time, so there is sometimes a wait. I was not pleased with housekeeping. They did not replenish toiletries or leave enough towels. I had to go get my own several times at the front desk. One day a used bar of soap from our shower was left on the floor of the entry way of our room. A day before checking out, our room keys were deactivated TWICE and we had to stand in line at the front desk to gain entry. Free breakfast was good but crowded and ran out quickly. This hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. Bring your own pillow as theirs offer no support.

I have stayed here at least a dozen times in the past years and always had a pleasant experience. Clean and quiet. Near enough to the center of Glenwood but far enough to be quiet. This time I forgot my laptop charger and the manager mailed it to me with no problems. Thanks Quality Inn and Staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a riverside room as they are even more quiet (an occasional freight train goes by on the oth...

While traveling West we stayed one night. We found the front desk person extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The location is right on the Colorado River. Very pleasant having a drink sitting on the river bank after a long day of travel. Very accommodating to travelers with pets as well.

Room Tip: Ask for a riverfront room.

This was our second visit here. Our room was ok but not well maintained as was the general state of this property. There also seemed to be some management problems. When we checked out the lady in front of me was having a serious discussion with the front desk person about the bad service they had received the night before. While we liked the room amenities we will consider another place on our next visit to Glenwood Springs.

Stinky room deodorizer, torn bedspreads, inadequate parking for trailers, near empty vending machines. We asked for a non-smoking room. we hauled all our luggage & dialysis equipment up to the 3rd floor. When we returned from the store with dinner the 3rd floor hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. A complaint to the front desk ellicited only a shrug and the comment, "That's where our smoking rooms are, on the 3rd floor." This was a non-holiday Monday night.

So this place looks WAY better as advertised online than it is.
We got in kinda late. Tthe guy that checked us in was very friendly. Parking was super convenient.
We opted for a private whirlpool suite since we were staying in town a few days and wanted to treat ourselves. The room was not what we viewed online when we booked at all. Housekeeping does a poor job at best. You could tell the toilet had not even been wiped since the last use of the room. It literally had bits of old, used toilet paper behind the seat and around the tank. Gross. There has been very poor work done in the room along the walls and tubs as far as caulking and so forth goes. Looked like a child had done it. The whirlpool tub was visibly not clean. The shower has no happy medium, it went from freezing to scalding. The floor had big pieces of just random things like threads and such that had not been sucked up anytime recently. The hotel book and info placard was greasy and gross with visible fingerprints all over. The mini-fridge makes a lot of noise. Expect to get up in the middle of the night and have to smack it a few times to get it to quit. It will just do it again though.
The tv was the WORST. That dang thing would literally cut out the volume all together for no reason and at random. Then you would turn it up once it started working again and the thing would independently turn ITSELF up louder. So, should you want to watch anything have fun fighting back and forth with it.
The doors are kind of a pain. I've stayed MANY places and never had so much trouble using a keycard. Particularly their side door that was next to the lot we parked in. Good grief. I noticed other people using a rock to just prop it open and of course was furious at first for the concern over security. Then I understood why everyone is taking that risk considering how AWFUL the door is. Ah, spiders really like this place too. And considering how poorly they clean they have lots of places in the room they have set up shop. Again, in the bathroom one corner had a huge one living there. Found two more in the main room as well. Maybe if someone dusted or swept once in a while there wouldn't be so many.
We skipped on the indoor pool/tub. It did not look well maintained either, in fact the pool water looked gross and after taking in all the pleasures of our room, we weren't interested.
Our first full day there we came back late after spending our time out in the area to find that housekeeping had skipped us entirely.
Then the days they did come in they literally just exchanged our towels and threw the bed together sloppily. Didn't replace the coffee or anything. Just poor work. You could tell the trash had been changed very quickly and tossed back into the room. And I mean tossed considering the way we found it positioned.
Noise travels easily in there. Whomever was staying above us was just simply walking around and it was ridiculous loud. It wasn't as if they were jumping but it would either keep you up or wake you up. Then we had some families roll into town our 2nd night there and their kids were a nightmare. Yelling, running, etc. Awful.
Then when I went to check out I had the pleasure of standing around and waiting on a different person who was working the counter to even notice me because he seemed a bit too busy socializing with the housekeeping staff. It was just one more thing to put us off.
We would not stay here again. Considering what we paid per night for this room, I do not feel we got a good deal in any way, shape, or form.
The only positives I can give is that the view out back is pretty, the river runs right behind you and you can even walk down to it. The location is convenient right off the highway and near everything. The parking was good too. Everything else though, forget it.

Room Tip: Dont stay here at all.

We were passing through Glenwood Springs ad spent one night at the Quality Inn. It will be our last. There was a train track that ran behind the property and the trains ran sporadically throughout the night. I feel the hotel should have advised us of the trains before we agreed to stay. You would have to go a considerable distance to the north to mute the train sounds.
Otherwise a very picturesque ski/rafting town.

Thank you for staying with us. The train track runs the complete distance of Glenwood Springs. To some, it is charming and to others a bit annoying at times. I apologize that it was noisy for you. Allof the hotels in the area experience the same difficulties with the noise. I hope you choose to stay with us again.
