Nothing to dislike here. Mother Cabrini's Shrine, Buffalo Bills grave. Beautiful homes and the views are spectacular

“Wonderful view, if you can see it”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

We've been several times in the past & know it to be fabulous. This time we went early morning, & think the view is better later in the day with the sun behind you. Also, it was very hazy (bad brown cloud/ozoneday?) so just want visitors to keep that in mind.

“Awesome view!”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

On a recent trip to the Denver Metro area we came up with some extra time before we had to catch our plane. We decided to drive up Lookout Mountain. We went up the south side and back down the northeast-ish way back to the City. This was a very scenic drive, not so very far from downtown Denver. It offers great views of the metro area below to the east, and beyond to where the earth and sky meet far out on the horizon. The views to the west of course encompass the surrounding mountains and valleys. There is a museum there, which we didn’t go in. We did go and have a look-see in the nice gift shop and enjoyed root beer floats there. We took the short walk up to Buffalo Bill’s grave at the very top of the mountain, a peaceful and picturesque setting as well. We enjoyed the flowers, trees, birds and squirrels and the fresh mountain air. Lots of switchbacks on the road--Slow down and watch for bikes on the way up and down. I spent the first 8y of my life living in the mountains up Boulder Canyon, and this was a nice refresher on what it was like. Well-worth our time.

“What a surprise on top of the world!”
Reviewed 26 June 2014

This was the favorite part of our Golden experience. We got to the top after many switchbacks in the road and got to get out and walk around and checkout the views from both sides. Could see Denver on one side and the Continental divide on the other, was so amazing!

“Gorgeous view!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

We recently visited lookout mountain while in Colorado so our indiana kids could experience some mountain views. Lookout mountain did not disappoint! We did not go thru the museum but we did tour the grave site, the little store and we took in the view from all viewing areas. Beware of the hundreds of cyclists who are trekking up and down the mountain.
