I had booked a room with double beds not paying attention that they were not queens. It was 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was cramped and looked nothing like the picture. I went to ask about the bed sizes and the front desk person (Jenna) explained that they didn't have queens at that location. I explained that I wish I would have paid more attention not realizing that I had just purchased a room with full size beds. I didn't even know that was possible. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that had full size beds and not at least a queen. She seemed very concerned that I was really unhappy. To the point where I was ready to check out. But she offered to move us. First, she tried to find us a room that joined together but they were all booked with someone in at least one of them. We were staying from a Mon-Thurs. Then she was offering to move us, the adults down to another room a few doors down or around the corner from our original room with the kids staying in the original room. I then asked if there were any that were side by side and she found two that were available. She said she would give us a call when they were ready. They were king size beds in those rooms. What wasn't mentioned was that I was going to have to pay for that extra room. I was thinking that we were being placed in these rooms because I was very unhappy and ready to check out and go somewhere else. So, when I went to check out at the front desk I was given the bill of more than I was expected to pay for. When I explained to Felicity that I wasn't told I was going to have to pay for the extra room she explained that I had received a credit for the night my kids room had no heat but that the other night I had to pay for. She then called the manager up and explained what was going on and I explained to the manager that I wasn't told I was going to have to pay for that room that I thought we were being moved because I was unhappy. The manager went ahead and took that night off and said she would have to talk to Jenna. That she tried to do the right thing but it just wasn't communicated well. I Thank Jenna for trying to help because I was really going to find somewhere else to stay. I also thank Ms. Judy for helping the night my kids heater didn't work. The rooms we were moved to had been updated and were nicer than the original room we stayed the first night. I'm on the fence about weather I would stay there again or not. All of the staff was nice and friendly with the exception of Felicity. Both of my encounters with her were not pleasant.
