I was just in Golden last weekend where I was engaged at Redrocks! This is a great place to stay if you are catching a concert! We saw Global Dance Festival an it was amazing.
I love the location of this property, short drives to both Red Rocks and Golden, this hotel kind of sits between the two.
The free breakfast was very good as well. My complaint is how this hotel room was set up. Our room had a jacuzzi tub in the room and as a result the bathroom was extremely tiny. The bathtub floor wasn't flat. Hard to explain but it was so curved that your feet had to be together in order to stand (couldn't stand shoulder width apart as your feel would be at 45 degree angles). Weird I know. Not to mention if you open the door to the room you see directly into the bathroom. Strange setup again.
The hallway outside of the 4th floor lobby blew very hot air out of the vent which did not seem normal. This occurred all three days when we were there.
The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good both days. The front desk staff was very nice. I would recommend this property but if we come back I will try to get a different room type.

Dear bearsfan78, thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We do appreciate the feedback regarding the room design. The hotel was originally built in 1998 and was renovated recently finished in 2010. Do to the original design the bathroom size has remained the same even after the last renovation. We do hope you choose to stay with us again the next time you happen to be in the Golden area. Global Dance Festival has been held a Red Rocks for many years, were sure it will be back again in 2014.

Check in was quick, staff was friendly, room clean and a "real" hair dryer provided (not one of those tiny things mounted on the wall). Breakfast was plentiful. The only negative is that the parking lot is too small for the size of the hotel and spaces are tiny.

Nice hotel, but cold room. That is ok on a very warm day, but was unable to adjust room temperature for night so was chilly to uncomfortable at the hotel set room temperature. The area evening temperature was 63 degrees. The air conditioner continued to cool. That is enough discomfort for me to not return.

Room Tip: Ask if one can adjust room temperature or submit to another's comfort level.

This was our 2nd stay @ this hotel to attend a concert @ Red Rocks. Front desk ordered a taxi for us so we could "enjoy" the concert. They were also helpful in getting us directions when we headed up to Northern Colorado for a college visit. The breakfast area was busy in the morning but there was always plenty of fresh (good) food. The staff was very friendly and I was always greeted with a smile and a "hi". Downtown Golden is nearby and worth the trip. Two thumbs up to management and staff at this hotel!

My friends and I chose the Hampton Inn in Golden because of it's proximity to Red Rocks. It is an easy 30 min drive from downtown Denver and an even easier 8-10 min drive from the gates at Red Rocks. It seemed to be a very central starting point for exploring what the area has to offer: downtown Golden, Loveland Pass, Red Rocks, etc. Upon arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and an available room. The room was great and what you would expect from Hampton Inn. The room was clean, the beds were soft, the AC worked, there was a refrigerator and microwave, plenty of outlets for charging electronics and a small bathroom. The only negatives about the room were that the iron was a little broken and water would spill out of the top and the bathroom was extremely small. But overall, we were very happy with the room. The Hampton Inn also served a free continental breakfast. Although they served the usual yogurt, waffles, bagels and cereal, the breakfast didn't seem as appetizing as it probably could have been. Overall, we really enjoyed staying at the Hampton Inn in Golden. If attending a concert at Red Rocks, I would highly recommend staying there.

The first night of our fly drive and we chose this hotel as it was west of Denver and we were heading into the mountains.
We picked up our hire car at Denver Airport and found the hotel very easily.
Check in was very pleasant and our room was also very good. We slept well and the room/hotel was very quiet.
Complimentary breakfast the next morning was great.
All the hotel staff were very welcoming and we had excellent service from all of them - well done!

The good - price, cleanliness, service from the employees, and the breakfast was super!

The bad - bathroom was tiny (there was about 1/2" clearance from the door to the toilet when it passed) and the bath tub was like showering in a canoe (with the pitch on the sides of the tub).
