We took our granddaughters on the Amtrak to Granby. The booking agent told me it was a short walk to the Inn. It was actually over a mile and a half with no option for a shuttle on a very busy narrow highway. Luckily the locals are friendly and a nice man drove us out there. There was a problem with our reservation...again blamed on the booking agent but the lady at the desk quickly found another unit for us. The lofts are large with full kitchen and our unit was in great shape and very clean. The pools and spa were great. The kids had a great time. The steakhouse had excellent food and service. In fact our waitress offered to come early the next day to take us back to the train. Downside is no food service for breakfast or lunch. The lobby and grounds were beautiful. Don't go through the booking agent...call direct number for best service. I would definitely stay again if we had our car.

Outdated, dirty, poor guest services ....an overall waste of money. Either ask for a privately owned suite or stay at granby ranch instead. I wish I would have read the reviews before we booked. Be prepared to do a lot of the room cleaning yourself including taking out trash (there is only 1 bin about the size of the ice bucket) and flag down the cleaning person for new towels or or you will have to go get your own from the front desk. Also, don't expect new toiletries or coffee after the first day. You might not want to use it anyway, we had old water in the coffee maker and hair in the coffee cup. Horrible experience!

Room Tip: If you are looking for a standard king room, ask for a privately owned room with a fridge or just up...

The place is really bad. Run down, dirty and very uncomfortable. Mattress and pillows are old. Carpets are dirty and it does not look like anybody cleans them. The pool and hot tubs are dirty. Can not recommend this place.

Not much else to say - I would try another place. I think it might have some winter benefits for the ski crowd but for the summer not so much. If you are paying more than $60 / nite off season you are paying too much - nothing else at the propety made it worth the stay.

Fitness Center has good machines but the air vents are not even covered and no blinds on the windows - "hello sun!"

Oh yes did I mention that the room did not have air conditioning! The walls had mirror strips all around the room - have not seen that since the '70's.

Try another place.

Room Tip: The 400 level is the ground floor - open to the entire world. Get a 500 level room if you even choo...

I read many of the Trip Advisor reviews before booking three days at The Inn at Silver Creek. So I was nervous about going. It wasn't as bad for us as many reviews indicated. The staff were pleasant when we checked in ( thanks, Rachel) but the room and common areas of hotel are VERY DATED! There is really no wifi to speak of...a verrrry slow connection. The layout of our rental unit was pretty bad. Towels and sheets were like sandpaper, but because I had been reading Trip Advisor reviews about The Inn at Silver Creek, I actually knew to bring my own sheets. I know, that's a little weird, but I'm particular about such things
On the up side, we had a king sized bed that wasn't that bad, really. It was very nice to have a kitchen. The view from our unit was very nice. We also got to check in early the day we arrived.

The Inn at Silver Creek will have to put some serious money in this place to improve it or they will have to endure many more bad reviews at minimum.

To be fair, the rooms at this hotel are all privately owned. While the front desk staff were helpful, and the front lobby was very nice, the room was atrocious. We stayed in Unit 545. So, be sure you are not placed in this room. As my husband said, the room should have been an embarrassment to the owners. It was obvious there had been carpeting in the bathroom at one time as the bottom two inches of the bathtub bore a strip of carpet on the bottom. There were unpainted 2x4s that I guess were supposed to be "baseboards" in the bathroom where I'm assuming the carpeting had been. The counter was set very low as was the commode. On the other hand, one had to step fairly high to enter the bathtub. There were coffee stains on the carpet and on the table. The window crank broke upon trying to close the window. I'm just touching the surface here.
My last comment is regarding the maid service. We only stayed one night, but the maid knocked on the door about 10:00 and I told her we weren't ready for her as my husband was in the restroom. She stated that she could not come back as she was too busy.
Needless to say we checked out that day.

The Inn at Silver Creek is in a pretty location. While the Inn may have been a great place to visit at one time, it is no longer the case. The carpet in the hallways was worn; there were rips in some places. The elevator worked most of the time. While having a high batting average is good in baseball, it is not acceptable for an elevator. The heat in our room did not work, despite the best efforts of the maintenance person.

On the plus side, the pool and the 3 spas are nice. There is a restaurant and bar on site. We had a good view of the pond with geese, ducks and pelicans. Mountains surround the town. Granby is close to Rocky Mountain National Park. The resort is not far from Winter Park. The resort personnel are friendly and helpful.

All things considered, the place would be all right if they did much needed maintenance and upgrades. Until then, you can do better.
