Amazing experience. The thing I remember most was picking fresh apples and juicing them with a juicer to make apple juice. It was the best apple juice i've ever had in my life!

This off-shoot of the Museum of the West is the actual site of a former working orchard. Several interesting buildings remain to be explored, including the workers' bunkhouse, the fruit-packing building, barn, etc. There are still some apple trees, and visitors are free to pick some fruit on the spot (the apples were incredibly sweet and juicy) There's a small gift shop on the premises. Call ahead - it's only open by request and for groups. Although it's advertised to have costumed interpreters on-site, maybe they are only there for groups, or maybe it's different in the summer.
