“Nicer hotel in Grand Junction”
Reviewed 16 July 2014 via mobile

We stay here every time we are in town. It's clean, friendly staff, centrally located and bug enough rooms for a family of 4. Only downfall is parking is limited and tight. And pool is always freezing cold and pretty small. Otherwise it's a nice place to stay and breakfast for free everyday can't be beat!

Nice hotel very well located downtown, in the main street of Grand Junction. The hotel is recent, and the rooms are clean, comfortable and large. The staff is helpful. Breakfast is fine. The A/C is a bit noisy though...

This was our second stay at this Springhill Suites and it was as great as I remember it. The room layout is nice with a separate living and sleeping area. The 1 ½ bath setup made getting the family ready to go in the morning so much easier. Staff was great at check in and at the breakfast bar. The only complaint about our room was the small signs of wear. The carpet around the couch was worn and dingy.

Nice room with a good view of the city, only stayed one night. Slept well, good mattress, quiet room was clean and smelled fresh. We walked the old downtown area and thought it was very nice, quaint. Not what we, for some reason, expected Grand Junction to be like. Hope to get by there in the future for a longer stay.

Very nice accommodations. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was very good with alot of nice options. Enjoyed the lounge area and the staff was extremely nice. The General Manager Greg was exceptional and very personable, making our stay all the more enjoyable. We will definitely be back :)

Let me start with the positive: the room was beautifully decorated, and the beds were comfortable. We had a room, however, that had a gap around the door to the hallway that let light and noise in all night. I kept thinking the door wasn't closed tightly, but it locked. Additional noise came from the lounge where a young man was performing for hours. I could clearly hear his performance even though I was on the third floor. Then, there was the $5 charge for parking which I found unusual since it wasn't in a parking garage or even removed from the hotel property. The worst thing was the breakfast. There were so many people in the very small breakfast area that many were taking breakfast back to their rooms or sitting in the lounge. The hotel uses glass dishes which means someone has to keep the tables cleaned off; the woman in charge of doing this seemed overwhelmed the day I was there. I moved dishes out of the way to find a place to sit. Food was not being replenished, and the offerings were very sparse.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on our performance during your recent stay at the SpringHill Suites. I wanted to follow up to your response about our breakfast. I sincerely apologize that we were understaffed that morning and the tables weren't bussed in order for you to have a seat. As we continue to grow it is with feedback from guests like yourself that help us realize the areas where we need to improve. We will definately follow up with the breakfast attendant and come up with a resolution. We hope that we are able to offer you a second chance in making your visit everything it should be.

Sincerely
Martha Thurston
