“Home away from home!”
Reviewed 16 November 2007

Stayed here 2 weeks on business. Great place! We had a team of 6 here and were well-cared for. Brand new, clean, beautiful jacuzzi, pool, lovely lobby where we met several times a day and were welcomed and greeted by staff. Fireplace perfect this time of year. Breakfast average & pricey but plenty of free coffee /tea/ hot choc. available, even at 3 am when we got up to work several days. Fresh cookies at end-of-day...mmm! Great linens, beds, plenty of little amenities. Some of us wanted fridge in room & were able to move- but not all have fridge/micro.. Great & free wireless internet & free computer in lobby where we printed (free) many things. Only complaint is that though we stayed here 2 weeks they wanted us to pay to use conference room & flip chart...would have been a nice touch to throw it in free. Everyone very pleasant & welcoming, though!

Newer hotel. Typical Courtyard, nothing exceptional. Very clean and quiet. We thought it was overpriced for this brand ($132). I would probably stay there again; but would first check for a better price in a similar type hotel.

We stayed at the Courtyard for three nights in a king suite. The room was very spacious and had everything you would need (i.e. two televisions, sink, small refrigerator, ironing board, and I think it even had a small microwave).

The hotel is brand new, so everything was very clean and if they keep with normal Courtyard standards, this should continue to be the case. I do have to admit, that every day, housekeeping failed to leave something. One day it was towels and wash clothes and the next day it was coffee and soap. However, this was easily rectified by a call to the front desk.

The only real complaint I have is the breakfast area and service. On our first day, you could not find one clean table out of maybe twenty five tables and we had to wait quite a while for the breakfast buffet to be replenished. The second and third day, the service did improve a little bit, but the breakfast staff could still use some additional training. I feel that in time this problem should improve and it should not keep someone from staying at this hotel.

Overall, the location is good, close to the airport and I-70. Grand Junction is not a very big town, so it is a short commute to anywhere in the area.

If and when I return to Grand Junction, I would definitely consider staying at the Courtyard again.

As the prior reviewer mentioned, a "fine hotel" and it is... new, shiny, even smells very clean (potpourri everywhere). The rooms are satisfactory, decent accommodations - the bed is very firm, (old backs might not like that), in our room, the "desk" chair, although adjustable, could NOT be raised so that you could use a laptop comfortably on the desk! That was an issue. Other little nitpicks... only one waste basket in the large room, no refrigerator (but we understand they are coming in!), NO microwave and there won't be (if you wish that, the Residence Inn nearby would be your choice). Staff is friendly, they do their best to be helpful (Tara checked us in and she was most convivial and pleasant). Staff was unable to advise regarding a "good" breakfast location but that is what Trip Advisor is for), dinner was at The Texas Roadhouse texasroadhouse.com/), a chain, but an above average experience at this particular one. About four miles from the hotel.
A clean, comfortable and friendly location to stay. It 'could' be improved upon but being very new, we could expect them to sharpen the experience. We'd stay again.

This hotel is fine - which is to say, that there is nothing wrong with it, and much that it is good. It is a typical Courtyard, newer and brighter than many. We found the bed comfortable, the room clean, the front desk was friendly. We did not hear our neighbors nor people in the hallway, which is a good thing. It's very close to the freeway, so convenient in that regard. There are several restaurants nearby, though we did not eat at any of them, so I can't comment on the quality. There is also a good large supermarket a mile or so down the main road.

The room setup, like other Courtyards, is a bit off - the TV is located to the side of the bed, parallel to the foot, so that the vieing angle, if in bed, is awkward. On the other hand, if you're sitting on the two seat couch, it's fine.

One minor complaint - the printer in the "business center" was out of toner - I asked, since I needed to print a few things, and they said they would get more. 20 minutes later, still sitting at the prinetr, I asked "what's up" and was told they could not find any. Don't mind that they ran out and could not replace on a Sunday morning - but did mind that they let me sit there without letting me know. On the other hand, they then let me use the front desk PC and printer, so all was good.

Our stay was a Marriott Rewards reservation.

All in all, treated well, quite satisfied.
