“What a treat!”
Reviewed 5 April 2008

You can't go wrong here! Everything was delicious, fresh and beautifully presented. What a great place for lunch, too. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The wines, oh the wines! The "flights" are a terrific option for those of us who cannot make up our minds, we want to try it all! What a great idea!
We recommend this restaurant to our guests.

Please note: this is not a place to take the kids, "grown up" food and atmosphere. Fine-dining atmosphere perfect for special occasions and business dinners.

“626 is THE place to dine in GJ”
Reviewed 27 February 2008

My husband and I go to 626 on Rood for special occasions, etc. Very nice, modern, intimate restaurant. They have a traditional menu or a sharing menu, which is very fun when you are dining with your partner or close friends. If you are into wine, this is the place. We're not, and we still love it here. Definately the nicest restaurant in GJ!

Thank you so much for your kind words
about 626 on Rood! When so many people
are quick to criticize online without letting us know at the time of service it is very refreshing for us to receive a nice response!

“Special Grand Junction dining experience”
Reviewed 26 August 2007

We found 626 on Rood through a stroke of luck and thoroughly enjoyed the wine and food. We tried three appetizers, a flight of Pinot Gris and another flight of red wine, and split the house salad -- everything was delicious and very nicely presented. The chef uses fresh and delicious local ingredients and really gets good food and its pairing with wine. Service is friendly and very relaxed. Located one block off Main in the historic downtown, 626 offers an urbane dimension to Grand Junction dining and it is open Sunday night!. We will definitely be back.
