The La Quinta Inn Grand Junction was pretty average, nothing really special...but good for staying 1 night. The hotel is super close to the airport, which was very convenient. Check-in was a breeze. The room was large and clean, and the bed was comfortable. This is a pet friendly hotel, so we saw lots of people with their dogs which was pretty cool. The continental breakfast was limited, but it was free so no complaints there! One bit of helpful info to those of you looking to book this property: The hotel is located next to a major highway. Our room was on the west side (which is the same side the highway is on) and we heard traffic noise all night long. Even the fact that our room was on the 4th floor did not help with limiting the sound of car/trucks passing by. My advice: request a room on the east side of the hotel and you should be fine!

Room Tip: Get a room on the east side of the hotel if you do not want to hear traffic noise.

Following the AAA guide and TA, we checked 3 hotels under $100 and La Quinta was by far the best! Friendly staff, nice lobby, upgraded room with spotless bathroom. Would recommend to anyone planning to stay in Grand Junction.

Another good LaQuinta Inn. Good area felt safe and safe to park my motorcycle.
Nice hotel, nice staff, good breakfast.
They offered a business center, did not need it but it was there. Elevator was a little hidden but maybe I was just tired when I arrived.
The 10% off at a local restaurant was nice also.
Would stay again.

Pet-friendly rooms. Modern. Very clean. I'm becoming quite the fan of La Quintas. I would say it's equivalent to the quality of a Hilton or Mariott as far as rooms and cleanliness go, without paying the price of a Hilton or Mariott.

We stayed here because we were traveling with cats and needed a "pet-friendly" hotel, but wanted one that was "human-friendly" as well.
We reserved a suite, which was very spacious but seemed sparsely decorated. I spilled some water on the floor and mopped it up with a white towel--which stayed white, meanng the carpet was CLEAN. However, there was dust on the dresser in the bedroom. There there were also scuff marks and scratches on the bathroom door (and wear from the latch), which gave the appearance of age. And would it be too much to ask for more than one soap and one shampoo in a suite that could have slept four people?
I tried unsuccessfully for an hour to get on the Internet on Friday night (it was so slow I could've sworn it was dial-up), but finally managed it on Saturday morning.
I confess we had to look all over to find the refrigerator and coffee maker, which were hidden behind cabinet doors in the entryway.
The young man at the front desk was great; he had a good sense of humor and was very competent. We didn't get up early enough to try the continental breakfast.
Al told, I'd stay here again.

Room Tip: Even though our room was on the Interstate side of the hotel, we couldn't hear a thing.

We've stayed at the La Quinta by the airport in Grand Junction a couple of times now. Because we travel with our two miniature dachshunds we must stay in pet friendly hotels. This place is about as pet friendly as they get. Lots of grass surrounding the place gives your pooch lots of options when walking them. The staff at the front desk has always been extremely professional, efficient and cheerful. The king suite rooms we've stayed in both times are extremely large and comfortable. The only thing I find disappointing is that the carpet isn't getting cleaned as well as it could. The room didn't smell like pets (HUGE plus!), but we could sure tell by the spotty carpet both times we stayed that pets had been in there before -- either that or very sloppy humans. We'll likely stay here again next time we find ourselves in Grand Junction with our pups, but I wish the hotel would strive a bit harder to remove stains from the carpet. Everything else in the room can be spotlessly clean and even smell clean, but this alone makes it seem dirty.
