Wasn't much special about this ride other than it being in the Rocky Mountains, which helped. The outfit is organized and takes good care of their horses and does a good job fitting customer to horse. A little too much local dirt/gravel road for us and not enough backwoods trails. We only did the 2 hour ride which probably meant we didn't have time to get too far away from the stables so factor that in. The pre-tip cost for 3 people was $150.00 which seemed a bit steep. My 14 year old daughter enjoyed it though so that counts for something.
Our guide was friendly and talkative along the entire ride so Kudos for that. Horses were well behaved and know the routine. Don't expect to trot on the short trip. All walking, just don't need the hiking boots.
