The location of the hotel is very convenient and nice. There are plenty of eating places nearby. The shuttle service is really nice. James the driver is really friendly and helpful. The front desk is also very helpful too. Aaron helped me a lot during my mutiple stays.

Monet at the front desk is so helpful and friendly.Re is also very nice! Love the afterwork snacks and beer. Free!!!!! almost everyday of the week! Saved us money.Free computers to use along with printer and Monet helped me with that as well. Room had loft which worked out good with kids, they had their own area and t.v, and bathroom.

Room Tip: Get a room in the back , totally silent.

Got the loft suite so I would have plenty of room for me and my two cats for eight days...Check in and check out was fine. Free breakfast was decent. The suite was very big, modern and tastefully decorated. A little short on the kitchen items but no big deal. Bed upstairs in loft was very comfortable. While the suite was quite clean the carpet had quite a few major stains in the living and desk area upon my arrival. Notified desk but didn't hear anything back. Considering I had to pay a non-refundable pet cleaning fee for an already dirty carpet kind of rubbed me the wrong way. Overall, nice place and great location and would recommend the place.

Room Tip: The loft suite is definitely good for longer stays.

I experienced a very professional and caring staff who went out of their way to make me comfortable. I was in town on business for 3 straight weeks and the home-like atmosphere of the rooms made that time away from my family more bearable. I wanted to point out one exceptional staff member, James. He always made sure that my weekend plans had his stamp of approval, he stayed late after his shift a few times because he knew I needed a ride somewhere after work and he just felt more like a friend than someone who was simply providing me a needed service. He even made a point to stop by a restaurant after his shift on my birthday to congratulate me in person. Whatta guy!

Room Tip: Ask for one with a fire place!

The driver James took care of me the entire week. He took the time each morning to take me to the office and pick me up without even having to call and remind him. He is an asset to you company, please see that he is rewarded for his good customer service. Thanks!

The first thing guests notice as they enter is the unique room smell - distinctive top note of musty vinyl seats from a '71 Buick Electra Wagon with hints of stale tobacco smoke and strong base notes of "Ohio DMV office" and "damp basement of old library with leaky roof". The property, which was built in the early 80s, stubbornly and proudly wears that period on its sleeve and may even qualify for historic preservation status. It seems that more than one or two attempts have been made to "renovate" this property and the results are disappointing. A deep hole in the wall, which once housed a magnificent 200lb Goliath of a 32in CRT TV, is now unsuccessfully covered up by an apologetic and embarrassed flat screen TV. A spider or two's cobwebs and the shattered remains of the flat screen's self respect cannot seem fill the void left behind by the old phosphorous titan.

Colorado has a well deserved and well known reputation for great outdoors with diverse flora and fauna and the hotel has made a well-intentioned, albeit ill-advised attempt to make a small representation inside the room as well. Aside from the aforementioned cobwebs, there are well preserved specimens of bug carcasses (cicadas, grasshoppers and the odd beetle or two) and dried leaves along the window sills. Further exploration within the room, guests can see a continuing theme of preservation, history, discovery and intrigue - an old sanitary napkin in the closet, a broken stair handrail, well preserved lipstick stains on a mug and crusty remnants of some mystery meal on utensils.

The loft upstairs is an adventure in itself. Every step taken, every turn in the bed and even the twitch of one's body yields an interesting series of creaks, groans, crackles and protests from the floor joists. It is a unique musical instrument that offers endless thrills to guests in the bed directly below downstairs who lay awake in mortal, sweaty, adrenaline-fueled fear of the ceiling caving in. For the brave souls below who laugh in the face of such fears, the loft also offers a special "nails-in-the-chalkboard" screech, that is guaranteed to drive even the boldest and steadiest of minds into insanity. It requires considerable deft and dexterity to put the right amount of pressure on the right joists to generate that satisfying, hair-raising, goosebump-producing screech and as such, an endeavour best left to professionals.

Speaking of the bed below, it is supposedly a pull-down "Murphy" bed - the kind that folds down from the wall dampened by antique hydraulic struts. The struts, which have a different tonal personality than the floor joists, look like military surplus nose gear struts from the Korean War, which must have been in vogue back in the 80s. The base of the bed is made of a heavy wood and extends 3-4in outwards. It is most likely made of a special type of wood that frequently attracts toes with considerable force and speed, so caution is advised.

Keeping with the 80s theme, many of the electrical outlets have now liberated themselves from their oppressive boxes and feature free moving mounting straps and face plates, while warping their receptacles into interesting twists. Plugging in chargers requires a fair amount of jiggling and pushing to make contact and pulling out chargers almost always risks yanking the entire assembly off the wall, putting your fingers mere millimeters from 110V of Edison's finest. It takes a intense concentration and a not-too-hard, not-too-soft, consistent, persistent pull to gently ease the charger out without so much as nudging the faceplate - a very cathartic and meditative morning ritual that prepares you to face any challenge in your day.

To be honest, Residence Inn DTC is not 100% perfect and there are a few minor flaws. The "20 minute" hot water capacity (see photo), while reminiscent of carefree days of young spent in crumbling Soviet youth hostels, is perhaps out of place in a large American city in the 21st century. Windows and sliding doors with working locks may add a modicum of security for the occasional visitor without an armed security detail or forgot to pack their self-defense arsenal.

It is not a perfect 10/10, but very close to it - 0.00039/10. The few flaws, which are all very minor, can be easily be addressed by a bulldozer and a sledgehammer crew over a weekend.

I had a business trip to Denver, and my wife came along. This Residence Inn is the old style - separate buildings in clusters of 4-6 rooms. Some have the lofts, and some are just one level.

The room has an updated kitchen, with granite counter tops and newer appliances. The bathroom area was updated with granite countertops too. However, the carpet REALLY needs to be updated. When we first walked in, my wife and I smelled something - not sure what it was and it was very slight, but it bothered my wife. She decided it wasn't bad enough to change rooms, so we stayed.

The bed was comfortable, but we really wish we could've had a King bed; apparently, this facility doesn't have any King suites.

The breakfast was fine, but there didn't seem to be enough seating for all the guests. I saw many folks holding their food and looking for a place to sit.

The staff were all very polite and nice - something we can almost always count on when staying at Marriott.
