“Great food -- worth the drive”
Reviewed 13 October 2013

This hidden gem is a few miles outside of Durango and a short drive if you are staying out at Blue Lake Ranch. During our recent vacation to the Durango area we ate here for dinner on 4 occasions. My wife and I tried something different each night. Each night they had a different flatbread special appetizer -- oh so good. Our complements to the chef. Everything was fresh and flavorful. While we didn't need reservations it does get busy at night and they do take reservations. Highly recommend this place. If driving after dusk watch for deer! You can find this place just past Hwy 140 intersection from 160 when heading there from Durango. Highly recommend this place!

“second time”

outstanding food and great accommodation (vegitarian and lactose intollerant). Waiter suggested something that wasn't on the menu that met our needs. And the best part was that it was inexpensive.

“The best seafood I've eaten!”
Reviewed 5 October 2013

We ordered the salmon special and the swordfish special. Both were outstanding! The salad was fresh and the wine list was extensive. The coffee was a bit on the weak side, and the desserts (tiramisu and panna cotta)were a bit of a letdown after such a fabulous dinner, but we'd still go back to Kennebec in a heartbeat. We left comments about the meal (positive and negative) with our server, and I can't help but think that the coffee and dessert quality will be stepped up .

“A Wonderful Find!”

The food and our waitress, good value and fun to visit with. Why the name Kennebec from Maine? An excellent find in a remote spot.
