“Finally, Something Great and Different in Highlands Ranch”

I will make this short and sweet. You must eat here. We came here for our anniversary and never had such a delicious meal in the suburban metro area. The owner came by and checked on us numerous times and even brought the chef out to meet us after we raved about the food. He even let us taste some dessert for free too. Great service. There are so many choices and you need to order a quite a few different plates to get the full experience. I can't wait to go back.

“EVEN BETTER THE SECOND TIME AROUND”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Back to the mile high city and to Beso Tapas and Wine Bar for the second time, they just continue to wow the crows, while we were sold on the concept the first time, this time we just relaxed and watched people around us make the sounds of confirmation of a great experience, some seemed repeat customers and some new, every one had a smile and a pleased look in their face.

We were just so thrilled to have found this place when they just opened a few weeks ago, and now to see a group of followers like the people next to us, was simply fantastic. Great food, great background music and service that continues to get better.

“Hidden Jewel - pride of Highlands Ranch”
Reviewed 22 June 2014

Dinner at Beso is an experience in culinary delights and truly hospitable service. It would be easy to miss this restaurant but don't! I had dinner with a friend. We started at the bar with a delicious sangria (fresh made red and white). Locals have already become 'regular' here and the conversation was easy and relaxed, facilitated by General Manager Julio Escobar who is delightful and genuine. You can tell he loves what he is doing. The tapas plates were all exceptional in flavor and presentation. I would particularly recommend a succulent osso bucco and deceivingly simple fresh avocado. I didn't have the scallops but several people around us did and they looked wonderful. We were wisely warned to save room for dessert and indulged in a perfect panacotta. Our patio table let us take advantage of a beautiful summer evening. This may have been my first visit but it will not be my last.

“Neighborhood star”
Reviewed 12 June 2014

We met friends here for a light meal. The selection of tapas was fabulous. The owner Julio gave us great food and wine suggestions. I loved the duck wings. Many of the wines are from Spain or South America. Our friends are regulars there and they have only been open for 9 weeks. That says a lot. Looking around the room, others were treated just as well as we were. They have a huge party room in the back. The main dining had a long bar, tables and a great booth we were in. This place is definitely worth the drive. It is in a little strip center off 470 and Broadway. They have specials and a happy hour.

“Neighborhood Treat”
Reviewed 9 June 2014

My wife and I are big fans of tapas and the opening of a tapas restaurant 5 minutes from home was very welcome. Menu is traditional small plates. The vegetarian offerings were generally better than the meat or seafood and the marinade on the artichoke hearts was outstanding.

The wine list was small, but thoughtful including several Spanish and South American labels not generally seen around here.

Staff was helpful but our server was not up to speed on Spanish names for the dishes despite the menu leading with Spanish labels for the offerings. Hostess came by to solicit feedback and the young lady (perhaps 10 or so) who also stopped at our table to see how things went and to recommend her favorite desert was a great asset to the restaurant.
