I'm blessed enough to live within an hour of this gorgeous B&B. We hosted the girls for a friends 60th birthday party and could not have been more pleased! The house itself is warm and welcoming, the views are 360 degrees of Colorado beauty. Jim is the innkeeper and is more welcoming than the house. He is a terrific cook! Order the Egg Sardou when you go! Jim is simply in expert in hosting and truly complimented the total experience. In addition, the surrounding area has hikes, back country skiing and a lot of history. Across the street and up a hill you can see original 1900ish post office and mining buildings on an old wagon trail. I've recently used the words that Silver Lake Lodge is one of my favorite places on earth. The others aren't in Colorado so if you are in the area, this is the place to stay!
