Great place to stop on your way up Mt. Evans! We stopped here for a picnic lunch before driving up to the summit, and took a walk on a nice trail around the lake and up to the Echo Lake Lodge restaurant and souvenir shop. The views are spectacular.

We drove up late in the day and the clouds were all around so no views at all... it was still fun and cold!!! We got some local advice to go around 8am for the best views!

LOVED the lodge and the stories, Rick, the bartender and the owner shared with us. The lake is beautiful. You feel like you have stepped back into time when u sit at the bar and look around .Didnt eat at restaurant, but will next time .All the food looked yummy.

A 40 min drive from the city lands you in a simple ski area for beginners. The park has a levels for beginners, intermediate and Pros. Plus a place where you get guided lessons.

The lift is good and unlimited with the tickets. If you are closeby this winter purchase an Annual Pass which is worth for $$.

Friendly staff, Well equipped ski gears, good cafeteria and lots of parking in front of the park.
