We had a small family gathering was great. The food was well prepared and served by an attentive staff in an old lodge atmosphere. Perfect for a special occassion.

A wonderful experience. Upon entering the Lodge, you are whisked back in time to the early 1900's. Low ceilings, Rustic exposed wood. The dining room is small and inviting. Comfortable.
That is where the beautiful datedness of your experience STOPS!
Professional Waitstaff assist you with the menu and explain all of the wonderful, creative food that will come out of the talented kitchen.
Then the gifted Sommelier appears at your table and pairs every course with an amazing wine. She literally took us on a trip around the world and shared with us her expertise.
5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service, 5 stars for the experience. Not to be missed if you are in Summit County and truly want one of the best meals and service in Colorado.

Dinner for a party of five in July 2014. Service was terrific, calm and attentive. Food was creative and execution was far above average. Good beer selection.

I had heard great things about the restaurant at Ski Tip, but it was only this past week that I experienced it for myself. I am not exaggerating when I say that everything positive you read about it is likely an understatement. There is nothing I could find fault with, even if I tried. I hosted a family gathering of 10 people on short notice, and Ski Tip could not have been more accommodating. They arranged a private venue (the library, which was a great setting) after welcoming cocktails on the patio. Megan, the sommelier, and Kurtis, our server (a very inadequate term, by the way) went out of their way to make it a perfect evening. Megan was extraordinarily knowledgable and she really tried to find out what this group would like before offering her suggestions. Ski Tip has a very extensive wine list, and Megan's enthusiasm for finding the right wines was infectious. Kurtis did a superb job of handling our group, including two "birthday girls" and one guest who required a gluten-free meal. His knowledge of her dietary restrictions was comprehensive and handled like a true professional. Instead of telling her what she could have, he told her to order what she wanted and he and the kitchen would ensure it was gluten free. Since the menu changes nightly, it is impossible to recommend a specific dish. However, every single dish, including the bread service (not kidding!), was met with ooohs and aaaahs, and deservedly so. Two soups were offered--both unique and exceptionally good. One was a stone fruit gazpacho and the other a shellfish stew. The green salad with scallop ceviche may have been the best salad I've ever eaten, and the short rib appetizer was also exceptional. All entrees, which ranged from trout to New Zealand wapiti to bacon-wrapped pork loin, were wonderful. And the apple strudel and lemon tart and strawberry tiramisu...! Well, you get the picture. The four-course meal for $75 per person was a bargain when you consider the quality of the ingredients, the beautiful setting, the historic surroundings, and the service. Thanks to Ski Tip for a memorable evening!

We had a dinner here, while on ski vacation. It's an enchanting antique little place with interesting history - ask your host to tell you.
The food was very good - contemporary American, with some Thai flare - at least at the time we were there. Main course is served in the dining room. For the desert you have an option to move to the living room, and you should absolutely do it , to get a full experience, and enjoy your desert by the fireplace in a semi-dark relaxing, and very quaint environment.
We did't stay at B&B but I could imagine it would be awesome.
