Even when they open their doors at 5 pm, there is a crowd of people who have gathered to get in. There is a reason people will wait for the best Italian food in Lakewood. Their chicken dishes can't be beat - it is always a hard decision to decide which one to get. Their Bucatini Colorati is one of my favorite pasta dishes. This family-run place truly is a Lakewood treasure. If you come at a busy time, have a glass of wine while you wait, you won't regret it.

Cafe Jordano is located in a strip mall in Lakewood Colorado (Cross streats - Kipling & Jewell). Dpont let the location fool you. People always say the Italian food is authentic but they never come close to my Italian Inlaws prepared meals. Cafe Jordano exceeds my expectations everytime my wife and I have the opportunity to eat there. Getting seated can be difficult due to the popularity of the restruant so come early. They do have a bar so you can order a cocktail or glass of wine while you wait to be seated. Enjoy the wait because the food is worth it!!

The food is amazing! Everything I have had there tasted homemade. At peak times it can be crowded so plan accordingly. It is definitely worth the wait. :)

We've been visiting this restaurant since they opened, more than 20 years ago and, if anything, it's gotten better and better over the years. The owner, who is from Italy, serves some of the best Italian fare in the Denver area, as attested to by the wall full of Zagut and other stellar ratings. Though the location is unimpressive, tucked into a Safeway strip mall, don't be fooled. The place is usually packed, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Get there early if you don't want to wait for seating. On busy nights, the atmosphere can be a bit frenetic, but the staff all know their jobs and perform them with amazing efficiency. It's also very family friendly (they even keep a toy box in the back.) Btw, if you're looking for pizza or calzone, go elsewhere. These folks serve classy, gourmet dishes, using buffalo instead of beef or veal, and a very wide selection of entres. Try the Buffalo Royal or Chicken Elegante if you're in the mood for "rich." And the desserts are to die for. We've never had a bad meal here, and judging by the huge number of repeat customers, we're not alone.

My husband and I stopped here for dinner and had a pretty good experience. We were sat right away however the server was very slow. We asked for lemon for our drinks and after 15 minutes I went to the bar to ask the bartender for the lemon. The bread had no butter and again it took forever to get they. After 30 minutes the server finally returned to take our order. The menu is very diverse and the food came in a reasonable time. It was very good and prices were reasonable. We will probably give it another try in the future.
