Description:  Family owned and operated since 1986 the Old Fashioned Italian Deli has dominated the corner of Littleton Blvd and S Delaware St for almost three decades. We don’t just make sandwiches, We create our masterpiece.  Heard that before? Check our reviews and then come by and check it for yourself. Come sink into one today!      Started by Tom Panzarella in the early 80's. Tom trying to capture the Chicago and Buffalo deli's he frequented from his youth he opened the OFID in Littleton Colorado. The deli is run by Tom and his son David and his soon to be wife Emily Ann Ward. They strive to make everyone feel at home when you come to eat. We pride ourselves on home made food. We make our own Meatballs, sausage, sauces, soups, pizza dough, fresh pasta salad and mac salad. We have our own master bread maker! We are known for our sandwiches hot or cold or create your own. We slice the meat fresh for all our hand made sandwich creations! Our Pizza Is a local favorite no chain gimmicks just great pie! We make our own house pizza sauce. We make the dough.

I've been going to OFID since the early 90's. The owners are very personable and seek to satisfy. If you don't like your order they'll happily make you something else until you are content. I love the meats you don't find everywhere like Capicola (spelling differs by region) and prosciutto. I prefer mine hot and smothered in tomato sauce, but they have excellent cold cuts as well. They are my favorite sandwiches in Denver Metro and have great pizza and pasta too! I always feel welcome and leave satisfied EVERY time.

We have 3 things we love to order from here the most, the Assassin sandwich, and both the Migliore and Capone pizzas. Their food is always delicious, always consistent, and the staff working there makes you feel like part of the deli family. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!

I've been going to this deli for 10-15 years now and they easily have the best sandwiches I've had in Denver. The owner, (Dave) knows my entire family by first name and treats us like we're part of his family. I've never had a bad experience here or had any ideas on how to improve the food. Excellent deli.

My boyfriend's brother told us about this place awhile back, and we've been at least a dozen times since. The staff is wonderfully friendly - the owner has always been there every time we've gone. He always greats us like we're old friends (and has since the first time we went in). One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. His goal is to make sure you leave happy and stuffed to the gills.

The food is fantastic as well. We alternate between sandwiches, pasta, calzones, and pizza - it's all delicious. The Poor Man's Lasagna is particularly excellent if you've got an appetite. It's a styrofoam to-go box nearly over-flowing with whatever the pasta of the day is, swimming in their homemade sauce with cheese and your choice of meatball of Italian sausage - and it's bottomless. The pizza we usually get has roasted garlic cloves on it; the sandwiches are so thick with fresh-sliced meat and cheese you can hardly fit them in your mouth, and the calzones are about the size of a small child. The crust for both the calzone and the pizza is one if the best I've ever had, and the homemade bread the sandwiches are made with is to die for.

The atmosphere is fun, too - very nostalgic. The walls are coated with Marilyn Monroe memorabilia and the stereo is often playing the classic James Bond soundtrack.

Absolutely love this place. Highly recommend it in every way.

The counter staff is friendly. The menu is large. The people who come and go appear to be repeat customers... "Everybody knows your Name". They have daily lunch specials and big, great tasting subs, heroes, hoagies or whatever you call them. The place on the inside is not why you go there. It is old, outdated and needs remodeling. The soda machine has produced bad tasting odd brand cola for a couple years. Come On... installing a couple vending machines would be a great improvement. Even Marilyn who is every where is showing her age. No air conditioning on the inside.

Will I go back... yes, cuz the food is good.
