“Great location and nice hotel”
Reviewed 6 August 2012

Chose this hotel because of the experience we had with another Hampton Inn & Suites. The location was wonderful after going to a Red Rocks concert. Great staff parks nearby too. Easy to and from the interstates. Hotel was clean and staff were polite. Quiet location. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!

My son and I stayed there when we visited Colorado to go to the Phillies games when they were in town. They served breakfast everyday from 6am til 10am. They had variety of choices for breakfast from cereal to hot items. The hotel was convenient to everything. The hotel was close to a train station to take you to downtown Denver. It is very close to 4-70. It has beautiful views of the mountains. It is close to Chattfield State Park, Waterton Canyon and Red Rocks. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel but we did not go there. This was a GREAT place and we will definitely stay here again! We did get a room with a balcony. I would definitely recommend getting a room with a balcony

Room Tip: The balcony was very nice!!

Dear Phillies Fan,

Thank you so much for your positive review. We are all very glad that you enjoyed your trip to Colorado and the game. We are very glad to hear that the proximity to Chatfield State Park, Red Rocks and the Light Rail worked well for you. Thank you for recommending the balcony suite. This additional feature really allows you to enjoy the pristine views that the hotel offers.

I reserved 2 rooms, each with 2 queen beds. We were part of a group, made the reservations as directed & asked for an early check-in. We arrived at the hotel about 11:30 on 06/29 and was told at least one of the rooms would be ready by noon. We returned about 1pm,neither room was ready. We watched as others checked in & when we asked we were told the rooms with queens weren't ready & the hotel guarantee was check-in at 3pm. We needed to be at a wedding rehearsal dinner at 4pm. I asked what would happen if the guarantee wasn't met, the response we will comp the room. Another person intervened & forcefully said give these people a room, any room, suddenly we were given 1 room (king bed) obviously ready. Why did it take someone getting loud to help us? Why wasn't the mgr made aware? Bad customer service!

Room Tip: Ask for "first available."

Dear EAD Texas,

I am so sorry that you were unable to check in early. We alwys try to accomodate a guest request for early check in, but it is not always possible based on room type desired. Rooms are cleaned as quickly as possible, once the prior guest checks out. Feel free to contact me directly if you need further assistance.

Regards,

We stayed there because we were attending a wedding at the Hudson Gardens. This place was great. We reserved a suite, which was reasonable at $119 per night. Room 604 was spick-n-Span, with plenty of towels, a comfortable king size bed, a sofa, and a couple of chairs. The desk divided the room, and it was a bit ridiculous, but we used it to store our clothes, and things. They offer quite an extensive breakfast, and changing choices every day. They offer yogurt, breads, donuts, English muffins, and many more. This hotel is near the gardens, another advantage for those who are going there for an event. All in all a very pleasing experience.

Room Tip: Ask for the 6th floor. You won't have anyone walking above you.

Dear wedding guest from Florida,

We are very excited to hear that you enjoyed both your suite and the complimentary breakfast. I agree, the extra money for the suite makes it well worth it. Not only do you get a much larger room, but also a larger television, extra in room amenities and a separate sitting area! The large work area/desk in the center of the room is great for both storage and office space while traveling. Thank you so much for taking a moment to let other travelers know about your positive experience! Wishing you great future travels!

My wife and I concluded a week long stay at this hotel. We are repeat guests after a past positive experience a year ago.

After fighting through an hour's worth of bad traffic and spring storm from the Denver Airport, we checked in on a Friday evening. The front desk was hurried tending to the transportation needs of a large wedding party leaving us and another guest waiting awkwardly for 15 minutes in line to check in.

We were assigned a room on the 5th floor and were happy to see the same consistent and clean room we had experienced on our trip last year. The room we reserved was the Suite which included a king-sized bed, desk, and sleeper sofa. Our room's rate was $180 per night and did not have any weekend price breaks. For the value versus amenities the price is on the high-side.

Different from our last stay, the LCD TV was great outputting Hi-Def and using a new DirecTV system (which was a pleasant surprise).

The morning breakfast is a very basic and traditional continental breakfast. The dining area is filled to capacity weekends, so be prepared to balance your plate in a crowded couch ledge.

During our stay we were frustrated by the hall and neighbor noise. Being our vacation, we wanted to completely relax and sleep in late. The weekend room neighbors are dominated by wedding traffic and during the weekdays its business travelers - each with their own quarks. Over the weekend we could clearly hear neighboring rooms bumps, late night rhythmic furniture squeaks, and loud talking. During the weekdays, neighboring loud door slams would wake us up very early. Most frustratingly house-keeping would start their duties at 8:30am so any hope of sleeping in was lost to noises of vacuuming and loud hall noise.

Our second major concern was the relaxed security. Every evening we'd go down to the patio to enjoy watching the Rocky Mountain sunset and we'd see pool towels blocking the outside doors from closing. Each time we'd remove the towels, only to find the offending persons overriding the door security with towels yet again.

To summarize our experience, this hotel is good for short business related stays. If you're looking to base your vacation from this hotel, its too noisy. I'd stay here again, but only for a maximum of one or two nights at most. We were at our wits end with the noise by the end of the vacation trip.

Room Tip: The odd number rooms face the mountains. Even numbered rooms face the back parking lot and Denver Do...

We are Hilton Honors Silver members, and this is certainly not the first Hampton Inn we've stayed at, however we found it to be clean, well maintained and a perfect fit for many family members coming to town for a wedding. Our room (307) was not as large as some Hampton Inns we've stayed at, but it was fine. The bathroom was well lit (tho' I wished for a second towel rack), the A/C worked well, I liked having a full length mirror, and the comfy bed was what I have learned to expect. What made our experience better than anticipated was how well this hotel worked for our family. We were able to gather in the breakfast area - off hours - for some good times together. The indoor pool was available (even after the sign said it was closed!) for the little kids and the big kids to play. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. It was great being able to relax with family members from across the country without having to drive to someplace outside of the hotel.

Dear family traveller from San Diego,

We are so excited to hear about your positive experiance! We work really hard to make sure that we are a good fit for business and family travellers. With our pool being located in the garden level of the hotel, it allows a great atmosphere for kids to be themselves while not being a disruption to guests in the lobby! We are so glad that you utilized our "Perfect Mix" lobby after breakfast hours to congregate with your family, this is exactly what Hampton had in mind when desiging this plan. We hope that many memories were made with your family and we wish your happy future travels!
