“Good food great atmosphere”

Gunther Toody's Diner
Ranked #50 of 428 Restaurants in Littleton
Price range: US$5 - US$20
Cuisines: American
Description: Almost 30 years ago, a couple believed that they could generate the "diner" philosophy in Colorado. These energetic folks knew that a diner had to give the guest four things ; quality food, quality service, a welcoming and fun atmosphere and a clean environment. Thus the "diner philosophy" was put to the test. Back in the summer of 1986, the doors were opened to the first Gunther Toody's in Colorado Springs, CO. A small 100 seat diner came alive and brought with it the sights, sounds and feel of the 1950's and 60's. From the moment the doors opened, Gunther Toody's became an American classic. Gunther Toody's ventured into Denver. It was not long before there was a huge following for our fresh home cooked food and sassy energetic service, all presented in a fun 50's atmosphere. With 5 locations in Denver or Colorado Springs, Gunther Toody's has become the torch bearer for "diners".

Just arrive in Denver and heading towards Casper wy. Needed a place to eat and found this one. Great Choice! The memorabilia from his shows was great. The staff was dressed in fifty soda fountain clothes with names like Veronica and Jughead! Loved the service they provided. The hamburger was delicious but the Oreo malt was the best! The music was jukebox and we sang all the tunes. Loved it. Definitely recommending!

We love diner food and because it is convenient we have been here a few times. Service is usually pretty good. Best deal is 5cent burger night. Burgers are about the only thing we go for anymore. Not the best burger we have had but a decent value on burger night. Breakfast is reasonable as well. I just wish the other food was better so we had more choices. The highly recommended meat loaf was disgusting. Chicken fingers are ok though. Soups that are supposed to be homemade have never really impressed me as such.

We grew up on diners back east. It's tough to find them in this area. Gunther's is the best we've found. The atmosphere is 50s and the food is good. The service was friendly and efficient and the price reasonable. The food was what we expect in this type of restaurant.

Stopped in with the family for breakfast before heading for the airport. Service was OK until I asked 4 servers for a different jam for my toast and then asked for a more well cooked omelet. All our egg orders were bland and tasteless and looked a strange artificial yellow.
no one finished their meal but at least we had good family time to chat.
will not return.

We went to this location for breakfast one morning. We all ordered The Big Bopper breakfast which is choice of meat, two eggs, hash browns and toast all for only $2.99. What a bargain!!! The food was cooked perfectly, very tasty, and there was a lot of it. We had great service while we were there and enjoyed it very much. I would highly recommend this location.
